The element of surprise has largely disappeared in the world of wrestling. Thanks to social media, the rumors begin to fly the moment somebody out of place is spotted at the airport.Thats what makes a shocking return or result so special in the modern era. Whether its something big, like Triple H returning and helping Kevin Owens to win the WWE Universal championship, or something smaller like bringing back an infamous faction like the Spirit Squad to hammer home a point in a feud, the ability to flip the script and keep things feeling fresh is both one of the biggest challenges facing the WWE and one of their greatest weapons. Its also one of the biggest factors driving the interest on SmackDown Live heading into this weekends No Mercy pay-per-view. Sure, logic would seemingly dictate that AJ Styles gets a big win, possibly by nefarious means, and walks away still carrying the top prize. It also makes too much sense for Dolph Ziggler to finally get that big win over The Miz to jump-start his career, and for The Usos to drop a reality check on Heath Slater & Rhyno and take the SmackDown tag team championships. But thats the thing. During the past few weeks of SmackDown Live, enough doubt has settled in that nothing seems for certain. John Cenas seemed incredibly strong, Zigglers tweeting out his booking agents information and reminiscing about the good and bad times on Talking Smack, and Slater, of all people, has reached a point of popularity where hes able to do a run-in to save another babyface team and gets cheered wildly for doing so.SmackDown Live has been undeniably compelling during the past few weeks, in presenting fresh stories and taking chances without taking things to a crazy for crazys sake level.Theyve done a fantastic job building to this pay-per-view card, and one big question remains -- can it live up to the hype?Lets take a look at everything Sundays show has to offer. The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler: Is this really the end for Dolph Ziggler? In The Mizs dream come true, the Intercontinental championship has become an important focal point of SmackDown Live. Hes to thank for a lot of that, but Ziggler has stepped his game up to an entirely different level on the microphone since his most recent title loss.Despite the Miz getting the better of Ziggler at every turn, defeating him in both of their championship matches, Ziggler is yet to lose straight up. The biggest potential for a surprise seems destined to come in this match, because there are so many potentially believable outcomes. Ziggler could finally overcome his Miz demons and get a win in a big spot by doing it the right way, or he could cut corners, just like the Miz has done recently, in order to save his career. On the other hand, The Miz could cheat one last time to get the best of Ziggler and send him on his way, or he could provide the ultimate embarrassment and end Zigglers WWE career by beating him clean in the middle of the ring, 1-2-3. As long a shot as that last scenario might seem, remember that Ziggler owns a dismal 1-7 in pay-per-view event in 2016 -- the most such losses of any superstar in the company. All that we know for sure, if the previous two matches between Miz and Ziggler and their in-ring confrontations are any indication, is that Sundays ultimate showdown will provide a fitting platform for either the end of Zigglers run in the WWE, or the start of his climb back toward the top.AJ Styles (c) vs. John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose: AJ Styles brings things to another level, and John Cena and Dean Ambrose are right there with himIn wrestling, in any company and at any level, a world title match where all participants look strong and where fans arent quite sure whos going to win is the ultimate success. Thats whats presented in front of us at No Mercy.Champion AJ Styles has pulled off some of the biggest wins of his 18-year wrestling career and has taken hold of the title with the longest lineage and most prestige in the world of wrestling.Cena, back in the title picture after a stint away, looks as poised as ever to crack his two-plus year drought. Hes currently inside the longest window of his career in which he hasnt had a world title since before he won his first world championship in April 2005.Dean Ambrose, whose stock slipped after a subpar SummerSlam match and a tough stretch in the past few months, has also brought his game back up to a similar point to where he was at the night he won the WWE world championship at Money in the Bank.Styles has already defeated both Ambrose and Cena, and Ambrose got a win of his own over Cena on SmackDown a few weeks ago. While youd anticipate a bigger stage for Cena to tie Ric Flairs record of world title reigns, and giving the title right back to Ambrose seems unlikely, nothing seems entirely off the table. We can only hope that the in-ring result is as fiery and enjoyable as the barbs these three traded Tuesday.Heath Slater and Rhyno (c) vs. The Usos: Is it time for The Usos to carry the ball in the SmackDown tag team division?Every sign points to the Usos dispatching the scrappy pairing of Heath Slater & Rhyno at No Mercy, but in a world where Slater can be a tag team champion and one of the most over characters on a show, anything is possible. The tag team division was featured prominently on the go-home episode of this pay-per-view, with Jason Jordan picking up a singles victory over Jey Uso and The Hype Bros getting a win over The Vaudevillains. As good as this run has been for Slater, I think there are more (and better) stories to be told about him either chasing the tag team titles or dealing with the come-down after being a champion.Becky Lynch (c) vs. Alexa Bliss, Carmella vs. Nikki Bella: There are two womens matches, and SmackDown Live has earned itThe Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss showdown for the SmackDown womens championship would be one of the biggest highlights of most brand-specific pay-per-views, but with so much good going on throughout the show, this feud has gone somewhat overlooked. If youre looking for a breakout opportunity and a match that could be a dark horse candidate for one of the most entertaining conflicts Sunday evening, this might be the place to go. Bliss has taken a giant leap forward in working with Lynch and the other women in the division, and as womens champion Lynch is doing exactly what shes supposed to as the anchor of the division. The fact that the show can sustain a second compelling rivalry, the one between Carmella and Nikki Bella, is another big step for womens wrestling in the WWE -- and theyve certainly done more than enough to warrant that match getting a spot of its own on this card.Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton: The biggest question mark of allIve written at length as to why this rivalry has been at times very promising and, at times, incredibly frustrating. Both of these guys need a win to move forward and move on with their careers, but who needs it more? The likely argument here is Wyatt, but that would likely come with another match or two with Orton. This last weeks callback to the promising early days of Wyatts character, itll take a pretty good showing on Sunday to get fans behind things carrying on.The long-awaited debut of Curt HawkinsFact: Theres a good chance he wont even be in a match. Hes the male version of Eva Marie, and the longer he stays out of the ring, the better. Chris Chelios Jersey . Louis Blues absence from top spot in the TSN. Zack Smith Jersey . The Mustangs (6-0), who beat Queens 50-31 last weekend, earned 17 first-place votes and 287 points in voting by the Football Reporters of Canada. "No difference at all," chirped U.S. roommate and linemate James van Riemsdyk. "Its still the same cranky Phil. Five-day Tests might be under debate right now, but the last two times before this Test that two seasoned Bengal players played Eden Gardens Tests together five-day Tests werent yet the norm. In 1952-53, when Pankaj Roy and Kohkhan Sen played against Pakistan, there used to be four-day Tests in India. In 1969-70, when Ambar Roy and Subrata Guha played together, India were playing six-day Tests. Forty-seven years later, when Wriddhiman Saha and Mohammed Shami came to bat together, India were still some way from their desired total of 325-330. The two added 35 runs in entertaining fashion to take India to 316 and deflate New Zealands spirits, but this potentially match-sealing partnership between two Bengal players at the home of cricket in Bengal was witnessed by a disappointingly small Saturday crowd. There are reasons for the small turnout. This is festival season and end of the month both at the same time. Salaries are running out, and the newer ones are being saved for Puja shopping, when everyone must have at least new clothes. The two Bengal players dont draw the same emotion from the locals those earlier ones did. Shami migrated to Bengal from Uttar Pradesh only after he was well into his development as a cricketer. Like many folk from UP and Bihar, he did so for employment. And Saha, to quote a local, is not glamaraas enough. The biggest cheer during this Test so far has been for Sourav Ganguly, now the Cricket Association of Bengal president, as he spoke at a lunch-time discussion on day one. Saha cant match the pull of the last Bengal superstar or the charisma of Indias last Test wicketkeeper, but the few that turned up saw their unglamorous wicketkeeper do a job for his team. He does the job by being inconspicuous behind the stumps, and with vital and timely contributions in front. When Saha came in to bat on day one, memories of Kanpur - when he had become part of a collapse that was arrested by Ravindra Jadeja in the end - would have been fresh. When Saha came out to bat here, India had lost three wickets for 13 runs. More importantly, these three wickets had fallen in the lead-up to the new ball becoming available. Trent Boult was ready. Matt Henry was ready. This was a pitch different from the one in Kanpur, where there was no bounce on offer for the quicks. Here there was bounce, some seam, and India were going at well under three an over. India needed to arrest this collapse badly because a scorre 220-230 in the first innings hardly puts any pressure on the team batting second.dddddddddddd And the collapse had to be arrested without getting bogged down, because the new ball might do tricks and New Zealand could have gone flat out with just 10 overs to stumps.Saha attacked dextrously, hitting a six in the last over before the new ball. The shot was selected perfectly. He got one too full from Jeetan Patel and wristily lofted it over cow corner. In Kanpur Saha had been caught inside the line of a Boult delivery, but that didnt put him off his game plan. Saha likes to stay beside the line of the ball and score through the off side. He did that to two Boult deliveries before stumps to end the day with 14 off 22.Still, having lost R Ashwin to a questionable umpiring call just before stumps, Saha had it all to do on the second morning against the new ball. He continued to bat enterprisingly, punishing errors, running hard, and then farming the strike with his Bengal team-mate, the last man Shami. Along the way, he wore one in approximately the same place as he did during his St Lucia hundred. Just like St Lucia he batted with a swollen forearm, but that clearly didnt take away the punch from his shots.Towards the end Saha, in the company of Shami, had frustrated New Zealand enough to make them veer from their plans. He did so by playing out the first halves of overs, and then hitting boundaries when the field came up. One such was an inside-out beauty to clear long-off and bring up his fifty. As the dressing room applauded, he reacted - not with flashy celebrations, but a thumbs up. He had had a job, he had done it. But he shouldnt always have to do so.The good news for the team is that the lower order is no longer a pushover. Since the start of the England tour of 2014, around the time this lower order came to its own, Indias last four wickets have averaged 23.16, behind only England and Australia. The bad news is, Indias top six wickets have averaged only 38.94 over this period, which is in the bottom half of the Test-playing nations. It shouldnt always be Saha risking injuries to rescue India. It shouldnt always be Ashwin showing the specialist batsmen how to defend. It shouldnt always be Ravindra Jadeja wielding his bat like a sword. The lower order might be due a failure. ' ' '
