MOSCOW -- Canadas Brianne Theisen is fourth after the first four events of the heptathlon at the world track and field championships. The native of Humboldt, Sask., has 3,810 points to trail leader Ganna Melnichenko of Ukraine by just 102 points. Shes only 26 points behind American Sharon Day, who is third. Briesen was second after the first two events -- 100-metre hurdles and high jump. She won the 100 with a time of 13.17 second and was sixth in the high jump with a leap of 1.83 metres. Briesen fell to fourth overall after registering 732 points with a 13.07-metre effort in the shot put but accumulated 963 points after finishing the 200 in 24.18 seconds. Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands is second overall with 3,837 points. The final three events -- long jump, javelin and 800 -- are scheduled for Tuesday. The two-day event is considered wide open since Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill and defending champion Tatyana Chernova are both out injured. Theisens husband Ashton Eaton, a gold medallist for the U.S. in the decathlon, was in the stands watching his wife. The two were married in July. Canadians Matt Hughes and Alex Genest advanced to the mens 3,000-metre steeplechase. Meanwhile, the U.S.-Jamaica sprint rivalry is turning into a rout. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce rubbed it in Monday with a winning margin of Bolt-esque proportions in the womens 100 metres. Her hot-pink coloured hair slashing in the air behind her, Fraser-Pryce flashed to an early lead and kept on building it before crossing in a world leading 10.71 seconds. She had time to clench her fist as she crossed the line with silver medallist Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast crossed a massive .22 behind. The first American, defending champion Carmelita Jeter, took bronze in 10.94. Like Usain Bolt, she now has two Olympic and two world titles in the 100. And in Moscow she gave Jamaica a 2-0 lead over the Americans in the sprint duel, showing the Caribbean island produces the fastest runners on the planet. The United States got its part of the glory, too, when David Oliver led a 1-2 finish in the 110 hurdles. It would have been an American sweep had defending champion Jason Richardson not stumbled near the end. In the womens 400, Christine Ohuruogu set a British record to regain the world title she first won in 2007, dipping at the line to cap a great comeback and beat defending champion Amantle Montsho of Botswana by .004 seconds. "When I finished I didnt know if Id won it, I didnt want to get over-excited until my name came up," Ohuruogu said. "I heard everyone screaming and I looked up and Im just so happy." Through three days of competition, the United States leads the medals standings with three gold and six overall. Germany is second with four medals overall after Raphael Holzdeppe upset Olympic champion Renaud Lavillenie of France on a countback to win the pole vault. In the shot put, Valerie Adams became the first woman to win four straight individual world titles.Cheap Air Jordan 14 Retro Black Friday . Luis (@aryck920) September 11, 2016Kind of a surprise to say this, but Walfords incredibly favorable matchup (he has a perfect matchup ratings score in my matchup ratings system) and the odds that Oakland-New Orleans turns into a pass-heavy contest rates him over Shepard this week. -- KC@ESPNFantasy @ESPNFantasy Blake Bortles or Tyrod Taylor? #StartSitESPN— Carlos (@CarlosGarcia04) September 11, 2016Between having a great wide receiver corps, a healthy Julius Thomas, a strong running game and a matchup against Green Bay that could be the highest-scoring matchup in Week 1, Bortles rates as my top quarterback this week. I would give him the start. -- KC#StartSitESPN Christine Michael over Hyde?— Thomas Kazmierczak (@TKaz84) September 11, 2016Hyde plays on what might be the most talent-challenged offense in the NFL (and, yes, that includes the Browns). Since Michael is apt to get the larger workload share for Seattle this week, he gets the start. -- KCCoby Fleener or Martellus Bennett? #StartSitESPN— Scott Ellis (@ScottEllis1016) September 11, 2016Bennetts grade shot upward after the report that Rob Gronkowski wouldnt play against Arizona, but Fleeners better downfield receiving skills give him a solid edge in overall and upside grades and a slight edge in downside grade. Would start Fleener. -- KCKelce vs witten ppr #StartSitESPN— Matt Merced (@MattMerced2) September 11, 2016As noted earlier, Witten has a fantastic matchup grade and, thus, is worth TE1 consideration. Having noted this, Kelce is Alex Smiths go-to pass-catcher on dink-and-dunk throws and has a solid matchup of his own. He rates tied for second on the tight end board and has higher overall grades, upside and downside. -- KC#StartSitESPN Palmer or Stafford?— CT Smith (@CTSmith7373) September 11, 2016Really tough call. Have them rated dead even in overall grade (79). Have Stafford with a higher upside grade (90 to 89) and a much more favorable schedule, as the Colts have three injury-replacement players in their secondary. Would start Stafford. -- KC#StartSitESPN Abdullah vs Hill in 12 team standard thank you— DailyDollar (@DailyDollar) September 11, 2016Hill has a much tougher matchup, but he is going to be the lead back in a rush-first offense. Abdullah is not guaranteed to be the bell cow in Detroits pass-first offense. I would rather go with the larger workload level, so give Hill the start. -- KC#StartSitESPN Rashad Jennings or Marvin Jones as flex?— Filippo Stabile (@_FilFeel) September 11, 2016With Jennings looking like the lead back in the Giants offense, I have him with a higher grades in overall, upside and downside over Jones this week. -- KC@ESPNFantasy B.Cooks or M.Forte? #StartSitESPN— Donovan Doherty (@DDoherty88) September 11, 2016Ive got them rated even overall, but have Cooks with a higher upside grade (84 for Cooks, 78 for Forte) and a better downside grade (65 for Cooks, 63 for Forte). Would start Cooks. -- KCCrabtree, Cooks, Landry, DeSean Jackson? Please help me. Football is back baby #StartSitESPN— Michael Pierce (@mikeee_pierce) September 11, 2016I have them rated Landry (75), Jackson (75), Cooks (72) and Crabtree (68). Worst matchups go to Landry and Cooks, however, so if safer upside is the desired path, I would say they would be ranked Jackson, Crabtree, Cooks then Landry. -- KC@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Julius Thomas vs GB or Jason Witten vs NYG??? Standard Non-PPR League— Kyle Keller (@Keller1613) September 11, 2016Wittens plus is that he has a much more favorable matchup, but hes also very much a dink-and-dunk receiver at this point in his career. Thomas has more vertical skills and is playing in a Green Bay-Jacksonville contest that could be one of the highest scoring this weekend. Its why Thomas rates higher in overall, upside and downside grades. -- KC#StartSitESPN - W. Fuller or W. Sneed for flex in standard league.— Alberto Gomez (@Beto79G) September 11, 2016Snead has a much tougher matchup, but Fuller is still an unknown regular-season quantity on a rush-first offense. Thats the main factor as to why Snead rates higher in overall and upside grades and has a very slight edge in downside grades. -- KCForrset or McKinnion for my 16 team flex? S Ware or Eddie Lacy standard ppr? #StartSitESPN— Alan Althaus (@HuckDiscNotHate) September 11, 2016Some deep-league action, we like it. Lets go with Forsett here, as even though he was released last weekend before being re-signed, there is real potential for him to earn the most touches in that murky Baltimore backfield scenario. McKinnon is a bit banged-up and is purely the third-down back for the Vikings. As for the Ware-or-Lacy debate, well take Ware in a better matchup with somewhat similar usage expectations. -- J.M.#startsitESPN in the flex position Ivory of Jax or Matt Jones of Was— Mike Mitchell (@SubmarineMike88) September 11, 2016Lets go with Matthews, whom I feel has the easier path to a nice yardage outing. The Browns struggled to defend the slot last season and Matthews could be busy as the possession target for a rookie signal-caller today. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Demarco Murray or Jeremy Maclin PPR flex— connor mccarthy (@connormccarthyz) September 11, 2016Murray gets the nod given the Titans clear commitment to the run heading into the game and Maclin facing a tough assignment against a top cover corner in the Chargers Verrett. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN John Brown or Gio Bernard (standard) at Flex?— Jake Boyce (@JBGenius34) September 11, 2016Brown was a breakout favorite of mine this offseason and I remain high on his potential given hes the rare big-play threat who also offers a reasonably high fantasy floor. Gio is in a nice spot for total yardage, but Brown matches his yardage expectations and offers the higher ceiling given the vertically-inclined Cardinals passing offense.-- J.M.#StartSitESPN drew brees or kirk cousins week 1— Justin Grossman (@JustinGsru) September 11, 2016Brees at home is just too prolific to sit. Cousins is a nice, borderline QB1 for Monday night, but Brees is a true candidate to be the top overall producer for the week. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN ty Hilton or John Brown standard league— Chadwick Weedman (@twullet) September 11, 2016As high as I am on Brown, lets go with Hilton. Hes the teams top incumbent target and could be busy in a game with real shootout ingredients. -- J.M.#startsitESPN I have Gronk. Deep league! Waiver wire was slim. Trades fell through. Who do I play? Cameron Brate or Luke Willson?— MarkHarris (@Mark_Harris_) September 11, 2016That is some deep-league stuff, but we appreciate the issue given Gronks surprising absence. I side with Willson here, who has flashed some rapport with Russell Wilson before and has a big-play history across the middle. Its a tough call since Brate could be the starter for the Bucs, but I really dont envision much of an offensive role for the Harvard product beyond blocking duties. -- J.M.Dez Bryant or Marvin Jones, standard #StartSitESPN— Robin Augello (@robin1130) September 11, 2016Jones merits the hype hes garnered this preseason, but were riding with Bryant, even with the rookie quarterback. Dez led the NFL in receiving touchdowns from 2012 to 2014, as a reminder of his scoring prowess. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Deangelo Williams or Devonta Freeman?— Mark Young (@leaving_marks) September 11, 2016I prefer Williams here. The Steelers commit a ton of snaps and touches his way as the starter. Freeman is also in a nice spot and likely owns the goal-line role for the Falcons, but Williams one-week window is simply more appealing. -- J.M.Eli Manning or Jameis Winston #StartSitESPN— Logan bennett (@logancae24) September 11, 2016The Falcons were actually sound against the pass last season, limiting Winston to one score in each meeting. Manning could thrive via a fast-paced, volume-driven passing game, thus were siding with the proven vet. --J.M.Jeremey Langford or Arian Foster? #StartSitESPN— Mike Wachna (@MikeWachna) September 11, 2016Foster is an understandably popular name today with Jay Ajayi not traveling with the team to Seattle. The Seattle defense is stout against the run and Foster is returning from a serious injury after struggling with rushing efficiency last season. Langford was also inefficient on a per-touch basis, just ask Mike Clay! But really, I side with our projections on this one, as they estimate nearly 20 touches for Langford and thus a more bankable yardage floor. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy @ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN who is the flex I should start? M Gordon, Marvin Jones, D Jax or Landry? Standard non Ppr— pierce brennan (@PierceBrennan94) September 11, 2016Lets go with Jackson. While he has a more volatile role than, say, Landrys traditionally higher-volume target workload, hes a dangerous big-play threat with the most upside of this bunch. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy PPR League. Spencer Ware or Latavious Murray? #rosteradvisorespn— Jay Dyer (@JayDyer) September 11, 2016As much as I dig Wares potential in this matchup with a generous San Diego rush defense, Murray could thrive as the lead back on a team committed to the run against a comparably generous Saints defense. For some added context, the Saints James Laurinaitis graded out last among interior linebackers in run-stop percentage on Pro Football Focus, so we can envision Murray getting to the second level several times today. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #rosteradvisorESPN start stefon diggs or sterling Shepard— Mike (@MGel1211) September 11, 2016This might prove a bit contrarian compared to other opinions you might garner, but Ill side with Diggs. Now working from the slot with freer releases, Diggs could thrive working underneath an exploitable Tennessee secondary. Shepard is a nice option expected to have a worthy target share, but Ill take the second-year standout in this case. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #startsitespn Tyler Lockett, Corey Colman or Spencer Ware in Flex position PPR— Steve Mills (@mothergoose333) September 11, 2016Ware remains a popular name today, and well go with the Chiefs tailback given the best workload of this group. Coleman likely needs a big play to return value, while the same can be said for Lockett, who was on the field for just 52 percent of Russell Wilsons snaps this preseason. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Do I start Marvin Jones vs. porous Colts D or Jarvis Landry vs. Legion of Boom?!? HELP! #startsitESPN— Shanan Edelheit (@ShananEdelheit) September 11, 2016The Seattle secondary isnt as stout versus the slot, where Landry will work from, but even with that element we still favor Jones given the far better matchup, if lesser expected target volume. -- J.M.@Mleeds2048 I have the same dilemma. Gore or Hill at flex? Somebody help!! #FantasyFootball #StartSitESPN— Adam Wood (@adam_wood12) September 11, 2016Its fun to see fantasy managers communicating and sharing their questions together on Twitter this morning. For Adams question, we find Gore to be the safer choice, as hes not splitting touches and the Lions allowed 14 rushing touchdowns to backs last season, while the Jets ceded just two. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Eddie Lacy or Sterling Shepard in the flex. PPR league.— Logan Alastanos (@Logan_Alastanos) September 11, 2016Was the P90X narrative not enough for you to love Lacy? We joke, but really Lacy looked spryer in the preseason than last years sluggish results. We appreciate the talent and potentially rewarding role Shepard offers, but well side with the heavier workload and higher ceiling Lacy delivers. -- J.M.C-Mike or Gore? (0.25 ppr), J. White or Woodhead? (0.5 ppr) #StartSitESPN— Ken (@kennnhau) September 11, 2016Just like when we hosted chats each Sunday morning, youll find certain players prove truly popular among readers questions. This is the case with Michael today, who was drafted late in most leagues, but enters Week 1 atop the Seattle depth chart. Ken snuck in two questions here, which well gladly address. Well take Gores more projectable role over Michaels, although it does come down whether you seek floor or upside, as Michael seems to bear the higher ceiling. Were favoring Gores floor in this case. As for White or Woodhead, well stick with the Chargers change-of-pace back, as he had a valuable goal-line role last year that we dont envision for White. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Rawls, G Bernard, or Yeldon?— Sam Swem (@samuelswem4) September 11, 2016All three backs are expected to be in committee backfields, but well go with Bernard because he offers the most bankable and projectable role of the trio. Rawls is the best option for the season, assuming he regains a majority share of work and the starting gig from Christine Michael, but there is real mystery as to his role today. The Jets are stingy against the run, but Bernard can get his work done via the passing phase, and his path to say 60 total yards is clearer than Yeldons. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Sterling Shepard, AAlshon or Maclin— Nate Butler (@chocot23) September 11, 2016Maclin is expected to be shadowed by top cover corner Jason Verrett, who earned the second-highest coverage grade among cornerbacks last season on Pro Football Focus.dddddddddddd Shepards floor is difficult to trust as a rookie in an offense with a good deal of competition for targets, thus were going with Jeffery and his volume-driven receiving role. Jeffery had the highest team target share among receivers with 40 targets last season. -- J.M.CJ Spiller or Matt Jones #StartSitESPN— CJ (@GentrifiedCoop) September 11, 2016Another good question that serves as a universal dilemma for fantasy users this week, as Jones lingering shoulder injury has incited some doubt about his workload and even availability. Stephania Bell expects to see Jones suit up following his full participation in practice this week, despite the questionable injury designation. Spiller seems to be on the rise in terms of increased snaps and touches in the preseason, but this is still Mark Ingrams backfield. There is some upside to Spiller in PPR formats, but Jones has the stronger role heading in, even against the Steelers sound rush defense. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN D. Walker or M. Bennett PPR— Randy Wright (@Newtown_Wrights) September 11, 2016This is a great question given how popular Bennett proves with Rob Gronkowski ruled out with a hamstring injury, per ESPNs Mike Reiss. Even with Bennetts appealing role, Walker delivers a more defined target share given he led the position in receptions last season and Marcus Mariota ranked fifth in QBR targeting tight ends. Bennett merits top-10 interest and thus is in the TE1 tier, but Walker has the more bankable role on his respective offense. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Derrick Henry, Kevin White or Kenny Stills for the flex? Standard league— Paul L. (@paullattijr) September 11, 2016White is out of consideration off the bat for me given this is his NFL debut and the Texans offer a capable secondary. White has big-play upside, but these other options are in better respective positions to produce. Given the choice between Henry and Stills, well side with Henry, who is also entering his first pro game but should earn right around double-digit touches as the Titans trend run-heavy in Mike Mularkeys exotic smashmouth scheme. Stills earned a role in two-receiver sets and DeVante Parker is likely out, per Adam Schefter, but the Seattle secondary has proven stingy on the outside, thus we favor the bruising rookie back. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN non ppr flex...Langford, Gore, or Marvin Jones?— Ball Is Life (@Here4Sports06) September 11, 2016Langford appears to be the workhorse in Chicago in a role that could prove truly rewarding, given the sheer upside of 15-plus touches. Marvin Jones is also in a really nice spot, given the Colts banged-up secondary and his rising rapport with Matthew Stafford this offseason. With Gore as the odd-man out in this discussion, we favor the yardage upside Jones offers. This is simply a case of having nice flex options, so we appreciate how tough these choices can prove to be. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN DeSean Jackson or Sterling Shepard at flex PPR- Jared Brown (@jaredbrown100) September 11, 2016Jackson is in a really nice position to produce as the lead vertical threat for the Redskins in a game with a healthy implied scoring total. Shepard is a nice option to consider in most comparisons, but well side with the upside of the veteran perimeter playmaker given the chance, as Jackson averaged the most fantasy points per target at least 10 yards past the sticks last season. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPNAndrew Luck vs LionsorDak Prescott vs Giants- Ariel Salgado (@Tomahawk_7) September 11, 2016We understand the interest in Prescott as an upside-laden fantasy prospect, especially in an era with dual-threat signal-callers ruling fantasy leaderboards so often. Prescott was a dynamic rusher at Mississippi State, averaging more than 800 yards and 12 scores on the ground the past three seasons, but Lucks passing floor is so much higher, and he actually delivers some rushing upside himself. The Cowboys are likely to trend run-heavy to protect the rookie quarterback, while Luck is on a Colts offense that dropped back on 66.7 percent of snaps last season, fourth most in the league. Lets reserve Prescott for streaming situations at the position, for now. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN ware or Floyd- Tal Iverson (@TI20HOCKEY) September 11, 2016With the name Iverson, its easy to win this Philly sports nerds attention, but really we selected this one because Ware is such a common inclusion in lineup dilemmas today. Michael Floyd is a big-play threat who was top five in air yards per target last season, but this also indicates some low-percentage, if high-ceiling outcomes for the Arizona wideout. As for Ware, whom we prefer in this comparison, his rushing role could rewarding today against a San Diego front that was regularly gashed last season as weve mentioned and also proved susceptible again this preseason to big rushing plays. Both are nice options in their respective roles, but we side with the greater bounty of opportunities expected for Ware. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #startsitespn Julian Edelman or Mike Evans for the Flex position- Josh (@mr_joshycool) September 11, 2016Hey Josh, lets go with Evans here. Edelman should remain busy, given we can expect Jimmy Garoppolo to focus on high-percentage, short-distance targets in this game, but Evans simply has more upside and arguably a higher floor given more downfield targets. Both receivers face tough matchups, as the Falcons allowed just 157 receptions to wideouts last season, fewest in football. The Cards, meanwhile, ceded just 178, seventh fewest. That said, the Arizona secondary is stocked throughout with capable coverage talents and we give Evans the edge in quarterback rapport and touchdown upside given his greater depth of target.?-- J.M.Victor Cruz or Fleener as a flex? PPR #StartSitESPN- Danny Camacho (@danny_camach) September 11, 2016Benjamin Watson was fifth in red zone targets among tight ends last season and produced top-10 numbers at the position across all formats. Which is to say we side with Fleener in his rich role with the Saints, one that has long proven rewarding for fantasy investors. The Saints are likely to engage in a shootout in the Superdome based on the ingredients heading in, such as the weeks highest implied point total. With Cruz, we really dont know what well see in terms of snaps and routes given his long absence, so well take the tight end in this scenario.?-- J.M.#StartSitESPN full point PPR league. Woodhead or J Hill? Thx!- Brad Beard (@b_beard81) September 11, 2016Only Adrian Peterson and Devonta Freeman scored more fantasy points than Woodhead among running backs in PPR formats last season. Now we get it, that was last season, and Woody also struggled a great deal versus the Chiefs, failing meet 20 yards from scrimmage in either meeting in 2015. That said, Hill faces a Jets rush defense that allowed just 3.35 yards per tote to backs (second fewest) and a league-low two rushing scores to backfields in 2015. Both players enter with somewhat low floors given precedent, but the scoring format and context of their respective roles favors Woodhead in this specific scenario.?-- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #startsitespn Christine Michaels or James White?- Antonio (@TonyyFuego) September 11, 2016Lets ride with Michael in standard formats, since he is atop his teams depth chart at tailback and enters the season with serious momentum from a positive preseason. Thomas Rawls isnt listed on the injury report, but the team has been vocal about limiting his exposure as he works back from offseason ankle surgery. There is some mystery and risk in deploying either Seattle back, but Michael appears to be in the better spot and could thrive in close-out duties as the teams lead rusher if game script matches Seattles position as the weeks biggest favorite. As for White, hes not in a bad position in PPR formats, per se, as the Cards allowed 92 receptions to backs last season, ninth most in the league, but his role doesnt offer much scoring upside and hes isolated to third-down, change-of-pace work, thus Michaels stronger early-down share appears more appealing. This one likely comes down to which scoring format you play in.?-- J.M.A. Foster or R. Jennings #StartSitESPN- Steve F. (@FooGuyDDS) September 11, 2016Foster is in an interesting spot as the Dolphins lead back, but as our own Mike Clay tweeted this weekend, it reads like a game where rushing efficiency wholly escapes the veteran back:This feels like one of those 12-carry, 20-yard, 7-reception, 45-yard Arian Foster games.- Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) September 9, 2016Given the potential for such inefficiency against a stout Seattle front, were siding with Jennings, who faces a porous Dallas front seven and has consolidated meaningful goal-line work, per ESPNs Jordan Raanan.?-- J.M.Corey Coleman or Arian Foster at flex? #StartSitESPN- Pistol Pete (@big_matt44) September 11, 2016Foster is a popular name in the questions this morning, which we understand since he offers such a strong production pedigree over his career and was found in the flex tier in drafts. For this one, well side with the veteran back and assume the risks of the matchup given the potential for a nice total yardage day and one fueled by workload. Coleman is an explosive talent who led the NCAA in receiving touchdowns last season at Baylor, but its difficult to project a large market share of the Browns offense, especially one that should trend run-heavy here in the road opener.?-- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Tajae Sharpe or Will Fuller?- Jon Snow (@jaycantu22) September 11, 2016Between these two exciting rookie prospects I prefer Sharpe, who enters the season as the top wideout option for the Titans after developing a strong rapport with Marcus Mariota throughout the preseason. Fuller is the better big-play threat and nets a nice enough matchup with a banged-up Chicago secondary, but Sharpe delivers the higher floor and more projectable role in Week 1.?-- J.M.#StartSitESPN Yeldon or Reddick at the flex in a PPR league?- Derek Christian (@SportsFire58) September 11, 2016We know what Riddicks role will be as the Lions top pass-catching back. Riddick averaged 0.58 fantasy points per route run last season, the highest rate among backs with at least 50 routes. Yeldon is a talented back who graded well in Pro Football Focus elusive rating last season, but a share for meaningful touches with Chris Ivory, who appears ready to go today despite a calf injury, clouds his role a bit. All this said, Riddick delivers the higher floor and Yeldon has a higher ceiling given he also has a chance at early-down touches, thus this isnt so binary as much as contextual.?J.M.#StartSitESPN Ryan Matthews or Frank Gore week 1 ?- Ryan Leleux (@CEO_LooLoo) September 11, 2016Mathews merits the start here given hes the more elusive and explosive back on an offense that should trend run-heavier than the Colts. Mathews was fourth among NFL backs last season with 2.93 yards before contact per rush and ninth in yards after contact per tote (2.15 yards after contact per rush), which is to say he excelled once he got the ball and after he engaged with defenders. The main concern with Mathews has long been durability and availability, but hes entering the season healthy and should match or even exceed the workload estimated for Gore.-- J.M.@ESPNFantasy with Gronk out who should I replace him with? Ive got Jesse James and Clive Walford as backups #StartSitEspn- Mighty O (@philipthejames) September 11, 2016Our projections favor Walford by a sizable margin, and while Im here to offer counsel in addition to our rankings and projections, I agree with this estimation. Per ESPNs Raiders reporter Paul Gutierrez, Walford is a rising fantasy asset heading into the new season, With his size and soft hands, should be a prime red zone target for Carr, so watch for some intriguing two-tight end sets to take advantage of dual skill sets, especially Walfords athleticism. The Saints, meanwhile, allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends last season and 70 percent more than the Redskins had in 2015. With this game in the Superdome claiming the highest implied point total on the slate, even ancillary shares of the skill players involved is intriguing.James is a fine option for deeper formats and the decision isnt easy, thus youre asking for some counsel. Ben Roethlisberger has the fifth-best QBR targeting tight ends since 2014, but we simply prefer the matchup and point total ingredients for Walford.?-- J.M.PPR Lacy or Ware for RB2 #StartSitESPN- Jeff (@bdsoccer11) September 11, 2016Lacy has the stronger season-long value given his role as the lead back on a promising Packers offense, yet Ware is in stronger position for this weeks window. Ware tallied 101 total yards and two scores against the Chargers last November and should again thrive with the majority snap and touch share with Jamaal Charles ruled out, per ESPNs Adam Schefter. Concerns about Charcandrick West cutting into Wares workload are reasonable, but with goal-line duties and an edge for a majority share of overall touches were siding with Ware as the choice over Lacy for Week 1. The Jaguars, meanwhile, allowed the fifth-fewest yards per carry to backs last season at just 3.66 per, while the Chargers were soft against the run and ranked 31st in this department, ceding 4.97 per tote to backs.?-- J.M.
