and the defensive chess piece and special teams ace was an important signing for the team following the retirement of Kyle Williams. This week Womens Trent Murphy Jersey , we answer a host of Buffalo Bills questions: the importance of the Alexander deal, what current player is the biggest piece on offense not named Josh Allen, second-year players poised for a breakout 2019, hurdles to signing free agents, acquiring Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, and the future of Ray-Ray McCloud. As always, you can call us at 716-508-0405 to leave your question about the Bills. The season finished and not even three weeks later he’s already under contract. The timing of it shows the urgency. Before the Senior Bowl, before the Combine, before free agency, and before they really had to, the Bills inked Alexander and probably gave him a little more money than he would earn on the open market. (We’re not faulting them Jeremy Kerley Jersey , by the way.) For comparison, Williams didn’t re-sign until the middle of March last year.Alexander played more than 60% of the team’s defensive snaps and more than 30% of the special teams snaps, too. He was a disruptive force on defense, forcing the most QB pressures from the LB spot in the league. It’s not like he’s performing at a low level, so the deal made sense.Add in a bunch of cap space and the departure of Williams, and it was a no-brainer.Now Alexander can continue helping the ultra-young LB corps of Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano become more seasoned pros while getting after the quarterback on a consistent basis. YeldonNew,52commentsWe take a look at former Jaguars running back, T.J. Yeldon using the All-22EDTShareTweetShareShareAll-22 Analysis: Buffalo Bills running back T.J. YeldonThe Buffalo Bills have had a very busy offseason. Revamping the offensive line was the clear priority but along the way they’ve searched for help in other areas. That’s where T.J. Yeldon comes into the picture. A four-year player for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Yeldon is the latest free-agent addition and adds some youth to the running back room. Yeldon was never the star of the show in Jacksonville but was fairly productive with the opportunities he was given. Let’s check in to see what he brings to the table. Play 1Even in games where T.J. Yeldon saw a ton of snaps, he wasn’t used as a blocker as often as you might expect. When he was http://www.thebillslockerroom.com/authentic-aj-mccarron-jersey , the phrase “fairly successful” is an apt one. A good initial pop and lots of enthusiasm often meant Yeldon gave his quarterback a little extra time. Imperfect technique leads to some concerns with sustaining blocks, but for a running back the pop is more important. Play 2Interestingly, the blocking flaw that stood out the most was that Yeldon struggled more when helping. On this play he disrupts himself arguably just as much as he does his opponent. When asked to truly team up on a block, he struggled more than he did solo. Play 3Let’s get to some running. T.J. Yeldon seems to have a good handle when something is beyond his limits. This scenario came up regularly, with Yeldon electing to cut back rather than trying to race half the players on the field to the edge. Here it nets a few extra yards. Play 4Whether it’s a miscue or poor ball placement, Yeldon needs to adjust to this pass. He does so while still having the concentration to maintain momentum and solid catching mechanics. The balance and tenacity at the end of the play add yards as well. Orlando Scandrick (number 22) has a good bead on Yeldon for the open-field tackle but fails to bring him down. Play 5Rather than blocking, T.J. Yeldon was often asked to slip out as a safety valve. Yeldon consistently keeps his focus where it needs to be and moves to help out when he can. It’s subtle in this clip Vladimir Ducasse Jersey , but Yeldon takes a quick peek at the defense while moving to take the best path to get a few extra yards. Play 6Like above, Yeldon cuts back inside to get whatever yards he can out of this play. He shows off some balance a couple times getting bumped while maintaining speed. It’s easy to like the vision displayed in this clip as well. Play 7 Take everything from the previous play and apply it here. Also take a close look at the two pauses as T.J. Yeldon breaks the arm tackles. In both cases minor upper body movements help Yeldon force the would-be tacklers’ hands to slip off. Play 8The main takeaway from this is to reinforce that Yeldon sees the field well. Recognizing how the play will develop, he calls for the ball immediately and is rewarded with a touchdown. The twist and catch is a heck of an effort too. SummaryDespite both crossing the age barrier of 30, the tandem of LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore are a heck of a pairing to have to sit behind. And it’s likely that “as is” T.J. Yeldon would be behind both in the depth chart. Based on 2018, Gore is still the better all-around back. McCoy had a rough season but an improved line should mean he’s still the biggest big-play threat of the group. None of this is to disparage T.J. Yeldon. There’s no shame in being behind two of the best of all-time. Yeldon is a good back who can be effectively used in a variety of ways. He also provides tremendous insurance in case one of the more venerable backs falls of a cliff (or is cut, traded or injured).

Thursday injury report: Eric Rowe misses practice Ryan Allen Jerseys 2019 , Brandon King added to list In only three days, the New England Patriots will play the Miami Dolphins in a game that could have major ramifications when it comes to the AFC East’s final standings: the 1-2 Patriots need to defeat the 3-0 Dolphins not to fall too further behind their rivals. Doing that, however, is easier said than done – especially considering that New England is currently dealing with plenty of injuries as a look at today’s practice report shows:Did not participateAfter missing last week’s game in Detroit and being a limited participant yesterday, Eric Rowe was absent today. While this does not mean that New England’s number two cornerback will definitely be out on Sunday, the chances of him playing – and beyond that going wire-to-wire – do not look good. As a result, Jason McCourty and J.C. Jackson will likely again combine to fill his role on the defense.Limited participationRowe missing today’s session is not the only difference on the Patriots’ injury list when compared to yesterday: special teams ace Brandon King was added to the list of limited players due to a foot injury. With fellow special teamer Nate Ebner also limited, this is a situation worth monitoring over the next few days. One of them being out on Sunday would be a blow, both missing the game could potentially be devastating.Full participationThree players returned to full action today for Miami: wideout Danny Amendola and defensive edge Cameron Wake were back after missing yesterday’s practice, while Reshad Jones was upgrade from limited to full. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Prosecutors can’t release undercover video of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and others allegedly receiving sex acts at a Florida massage parlor until a Florida judge rules later this month.Circuit Judge Joseph Marx on Wednesday barred the release of any video from the Orchids of Asia Day Spa before an April 29 hearing where he will hear from all parties, the Palm Beach Post reported.Palm Beach County prosecutors had filed a notice in a related case saying they believe the videos are public records under Florida law and plan to release pixilated versions — a move Kraft’s attorneys quickly moved to block White James Develin Jerseys , accusing prosecutors of apparent “gross prosecutorial misconduct.”Kraft was charged in February with two misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution for allegedly paying for sex at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida. He has pleaded not guilty. Twenty-four other alleged Orchids of Asia customers were similarly charged.Palm Beach State Attorney David Aronberg wrote to the court in the related case that there is no legal basis to block the videos’ release. The Associated Press and numerous other media outlets have requested the videos.“Absent a Court order, the State will be releasing the requested public records” after they are pixilated, Aronberg wrote. His spokesman, Mike Edmondson, said the release is not imminent as the office is processing numerous public records requests from the case.Defense attorney Jack Goldberger quickly sent a letter to the judge overseeing Kraft’s case, writing that prosecutors are trying to “evade judicial review and end run” around a promise he says they made to await a court ruling on whether the videos are a public record.“The State’s bad faith attempt to circumvent judicial review by simply releasing the Videos” before the judge rules “is an affront to justice and grossly unethical,” Goldberger wrote.David S. Weinstein, a defense attorney and former prosecutor who is not involved in the case, said “there is still no guarantee that the tapes will be released.” Prosecutors “are simply stating that they are complying with their duties under the public records laws and they won’t be withholding the tapes,” he said. Even if the trial judge orders the videos’ release, Kraft’s attorneys could appeal James Develin Jerseys 2019 , he said.Kraft, 77, is accused of paying for sex acts at the spa twice in January. While fighting the charges, he recently issued an apology saying he had disappointed his family, friends, co-workers, fans “and many others who rightfully hold me to a higher standard.”Kraft said he has “extraordinary respect for women,” adding that his morals were shaped by his late wife, who died in 2011.According to police records, Kraft, who is worth $6 billion, was chauffeured to the Orchids of Asia spa on the evening of Jan. 19 Infant Byron Cowart Jersey , where officers secretly recorded him engaging in a sex act and then handing over an undetermined amount of cash.Investigators said Kraft returned 17 hours later and was again videotaped engaging in sex acts before paying with a $100 bill and another bill, police said.Hours later, he was in Kansas City for the AFC Championship game, where his Patriots defeated the Chiefs. His team then won the Super Bowl in Atlanta, the Patriots’ sixth NFL championship under his ownership.Goldberger has previously accused Jupiter police of having “deliberately misrepresented” facts used to get a judge to approve the warrant allowing the cameras’ secret installation. Officers used an undisclosed ruse to gain access to the spa days before Kraft’s visits.Jupiter was part of a multicounty investigation of massage parlor prostitution and possible human trafficking that resulted with the arrests of about 300 men and the closure of 10 spas. The spa owners have been charged with felonies. Prosecutors have conceded they found no evidence of human trafficking at the Jupiter spa.Goldberger also said officers did not exhaust less-invasive means of investigating the spa, and Florida law says audio surveillance such as wiretaps should only be used for serious felonies such as murder or kidnapping and does not list prostitution.Prosecutors have offered to drop the charges if Kraft enters a diversion program for first-time offenders, as some others charged have. That would include an admission he would be found guilty if the case went to trial, a $5,000 fine, 100 hours of community service and attendance in a class on the dangers of prostitution and its connection to human trafficking. He would also have to make a court appearance and be tested for sexually transmitted diseases.Prosecutors have said the fine and community service are required by law and are not negotiable.

(who caught plenty of passes) are gone. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wants them also to be forgotten. Whether that happens depends on the performance of the players who will take their place.“I’m really excited about what we have White Brandon Shell Jerseys ,” Roethlisberger recently told Chris Simms. “JuJu [Smith-Schuster] just keeps getting better and I’m excited for what he’s going to do, especially with a new challenge. CLEVELAND (AP) — Browns starting safety Damarious Randall will miss Monday night’s game against the New York Jets with a concussion.Randall practiced the past two days but reported to the team’s facility Saturday with concussion-like symptoms. He has been placed in the league’s protocol for head injuries. The 27-year-old Randall, who is in his second season with Cleveland, missed practice earlier in the week with what coach Freddie Kitchens said was a stomach virus.Eric Murray is listed as Randall’s backup on the depth chart and will likely replace him against the Jets. Randall had been looking forward to the game and a chance to face former Browns defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. The two did not see eye to eye during their one season together. The Browns also said defensive end Chris Smith returned to practice following the tragic death of his girlfriend, Petara Cordero. She was stuck by a car Wednesday morning while standing next to Smith’s vehicle after a tire malfunction.Cordero recently gave birth to the couple’s daughter. The 47-year-old woman who hit Cordero told Cleveland police she had been drinking. The incident is still under investigation.Smith practiced Saturday Eric Tomlinson Jerseys 2019 , but it hasn’t been determined if he’ll play in New York. He’s listed as questionable on the injury report. One of the team’s most popular players, Smith didn’t play in last week’s loss to Tennessee.Linebacker Adarius Taylor will miss the game with an ankle injury and rookie Mack Wilson will take his spot in the Browns’ base defense.Starting left guard Joel Bitonio (abdomen), wide receiver Rashard Higgins (knee), and backup quarterback Drew Stanton (knee) are also questionable. If Stanton is inactive, Garrett Gilbert will be behind Baker Mayfield.

in Week 13 Custom Armon Watts Jersey , we saw a drop in fan confidence via our FanPulse polls, but not a terribly large one, perhaps owing to the fact that the game had not been played before the FanPulse questions went out. Last week, the Vikings went out and did what they were supposed to do against the Detroit Lions. In the process, it doesn’t appear that they impressed a whole lot of people.Yes, the number remains steady for the Vikings as they head into their final road game of the year against the Chargers on Sunday. Once again, 67% of fans expressed confidence in the direction of the team after the win over Detroit, the same percentage as after the loss to Seattle. Perhaps the roller coaster has stopped for a bit for our FanPulse results. Seeing them go back up again would be nice. . .it’s just the drop part that I could do without. We had two national questions this week, both concerning the 2020 NFL Draft. The first question asked which team would end up with the #1 pick in this April’s selection meeting. Though we don’t have a graphic for it Discount Armon Watts Jersey , I can assure you that the Cincinnati Bengals crushed the rest of the field, with over 80% of respondents projecting the Bengals to end up at the top of the draft board. The other question was which player would go #1 overall, and if the Bengals do end up with the #1 overall pick, it looks like they’ll be grabbing Andy Dalton’s replacement.Nearly 70% of everyone that responded went with the likely Heisman Trophy winner, Louisiana State quarterback Joe Burrow. Makes sense to me.Those are your FanPulse results for this week, ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully we’ll see the arrow move back upward after this Sunday’s game and get fans confident in this team heading into the big Monday Night Football contest at U.S. Bank Stadium. Two collarbone injuries Womens Corey Linsley Jersey , a serious, nagging knee injury — they all caught up with Rodgers because not even one of the all-time greats can defeat Father Time. That’s one of the few times wins are a quarterback stat. Mark Murphy and Brian Gutekunst certainly didn’t think that was the case a few months when they signed Rodgers to the richest contract the league has ever seen. Rodgers drew oo’s and aah’s from fans and media who saw him in training camp (remember when there was a worry about his interceptions?), writing about how focused he was, how determined he looked to right the wrongs of the 2017 season. Without knowing how much the knee has bothered him or how much faith he truly has in his receivers and the gameplan, it’s impossible to pin down exactly what went wrong for Rodgers this season. No doubt the knee played a role. Injuries at receiver, where rookies were forced into the starting lineup hurt the continuity and consistency of the passing game. Injuries and inconsistency at offensive line exacerbated the loss of Rodgers’ usual mobility. All of this comes before the issues with play design and playcalling, an essential reason Mike McCarthy no longer works at 1265 Lombardi Ave. There are reasons to believe 2018 will end up an aberration for Rodgers. For starters, he’s unlikely to sustain a historically low interception rate, but he’s also unlikely to play with such an inexperienced group of receivers again. The head coaching search will undoubtedly feature a revamping of outdated offenses concepts and philosophy. And Green Bay simply won’t keep losing one-score games (six of their eight losses this season) at this rate. Those numbers tend to ebb and flow over time. But wait, there’s more. A look at historical quarterback data reveals a bizarre pattern: year 14 has been the bug-a-boo for all-time great quarterbacks of recent vintage. Let’s examine that.Tom Brady 2013 (Age 36): 60.5% 25 TDs 11 INTs 6.9 YPA 87.3 Rating Do those look like Tom Brady numbers to you? Since then, he has won an MVP, helped the Patriots win two Super Bowls, and returned to being one of the best quarterbacks in the game. But ‘13 was Brady’s worst completion percentage since 2004 http://www.packerslockerroom.com/authentic-marcedes-lewis-jersey , his fewest TDs since 2006, tied for lowest YPA since 2006, and his worst rating since his 2008 season, when he tore his ACL in week one. Those look like Derek Carr numbers, not one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and one of the greatest ever. Much like with Rodgers, the factors that season were myriad, but the Patriots still managed to go 12-4 and make a run because they’re the Patriots and have Bill Belichick. Drew Brees 2014 (Age 35): 69.2% 4952 33 TDs 17 INT This doesn’t look quite as wonky for Brees, but consider that this number was Brees’ most INTs since 2012 when he led the league in picks. It was his worst INT % and lowest rating since that same season and worst YPA since 2010. Since then, he’s been Drew Brees again. Year 14 also started a streak of losing seasons for the Saints, where they won just seven games three seasons in a row. Along with 2012, it was four in five years. A killer draft in 2017 buoyed them back to an 11-win season and right now, they might just be the Super Bowl favorite. This didn’t require a coaching change or a mechanical cure-all. The Saints needed a little more talent and some more luck. Peyton Manning 2011 (Age 35): Missed entire season with neck injury This seals the oddity of the Year 14 season jinx. Manning missed the entire season, then left Indianapolis and helped lead the Broncos to a pair of Super Bowl trips along with a record-shattering MVP season. There are no other quarterbacks of Rodgers’ quality worth mentioning with this group over the last decade. Yet all of them had down years in Year 14 Jermaine Whitehead Jersey , and all of them came back to be if not better than ever, something close to it. Manning and Brady each won Super Bowls and made more than one appearance in that big game.Brees could make it three-for-three this year. It’s possible this is the beginning of the end. If it is, the final stretch of the 2016 season will be the aberration and the decline will have begun in 2015. We won’t know until Rodgers comes back next season with a new coach and a healthy team. For the Packers, that would preferably happen with a new starting right guard and a better plan behind Bryan Bulaga. But every quarterback of recent vintage whom most would consider in the same sphere as Aaron Rodgers has bounced back from a mini-swoon late in their careers. Green Bay needs to do everything in its power this offseason to ensure Rodgers makes it four-for-four. The Green Bay Packers’ chapter of the 2018 NFL season has closed and 2019 has already ushered in a new era with Matt LaFleur named the organization's 15th head coach. LaFleur will inherit a roster that began a transition under new General Manager Brian Gutekunst a year ago and is still seeking additional reinforcements. In the spirit of both looking ahead to LaFleur and looking back at the 2018 season that was, today begins a two-part sequence of assessing the Packers’ positional priorities with the offseason right around the corner. Today’s list features the team’s lowest priorities, including one position group that took a much-needed step forward behind several young prospects.Without further ado, here are positional rankings 7-11.11. QuarterbacksWhen you lock in a franchise quarterback for the long haul, chances are your priority list won’t revolve around the position. Aaron Rodgers’ progression will be closely monitored under LaFleur and there are many reasons to be optimistic about the new partnership. But even outside of Rodgers, the Packers appear to be in much better shape at the position that they were last year when questions surrounded Brett Hundley’s backup status. Green Bay invested in DeShone Kizer via trade last offseason and the former Cleveland Brown showed flashes in the final week against Detroit despite Green Bay failing to score (however, they went for a number of fourth downs in the red zone). Kizer’s natural ability looked more promising than Hundley’s stint in 2017 and the Packers surely hope to continue grooming Kizer, just a two-year veteran. Tim Boyle also will stick around for training camp and figures to see competition from a late-round draft pick or undrafted player for a third spot on the roster.10. SpecialistsLaFleur specifically mentioned that he wants a “sound” and “aggressive” special teams that takes advantage of personnel mismatches. But there’s no way to sugarcoat it: the Packers’ special teams units as a whole were disastrous in 2018. However, kicker Mason Crosby isn’t going anywhere and punter J.K. Scott should get at least one more season after being drafted in the fifth round of last year’s draft. The wildcard here is Hunter Bradley at long snapper, who was inconsistent as a rookie. Bradley should have competition from the undrafted ranks in camp. From a returns standpoint Womens Kevin King Jersey , Trevor Davis spent almost the entire 2018 season injured and missed a golden opportunity to cement his role in both the kick and punt return games. Jaire Alexander, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Bashaud Breeland, if re-signed, could bring some value there, but an outside competitor could surely be added to make the special teams more dangerous.9. Running BackWhen healthy, Aaron Jones has been a dynamic playmaker for the Packers’ offense and the coaching change should really help the team take advantage of his strengths. Pass blocking remains a work in progress for Jones to see more third-down action, but his slashing style and speed in the open field gives Green Bay a weapon. Jamaal Williams has had share of promising moments in Jones’ absence over the past two seasons. More reliable than Jones as a blocker, Williams had a big game against the New York Jets late in the season, accounting for 158 yards from scrimmage. His short-yardage, grind-it-out style is a good complement to Jones. The duo isn’t quite Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara yet, but they’re a strong point of the team. Green Bay still could add a third back in the offseason.8. CornerbackPlacing this position eighth almost feels weird. The Packers have searched for dependable cornerbacks for the better part of the past decade without much luck. But with rookies Alexander, Josh Jackson Jermaine Whitehead Jersey White , and Tony Brown, in addition to a possibly Breeland re-signing, Green Bay has a nice young nucleus forming. If Kevin King can stay healthy, cornerback could actually be a team strength in the very near future. Much depends on Breeland’s contract status, but the Packers could potentially move Tramon Williams to safety more fully in 2019 with improved depth at corner. The Packers could bring in some depth, but a premium draft pick or free agent is not likely this year.7. Defensive LineOn the inside, Green Bay remains in excellent shape for next season. Muhammad Wilkerson probably won’t be back in Titletown, but a healthier Kenny Clark and Mike Daniels will be. Tyler Lancaster really blossomed over the course of the season as an undrafted free agent and Montravius Adams, a former third-round pick, also showed some signs of his potential as a role player in increased snaps during the second half of the season. Fadol Brown could also challenge for a roster spot next season. On the ends is where Green Bay could still stand to improve. Although Dean Lowry has been a steady player for the Packers, the team could use a pass rusher from that position comparable to Cullen Jenkins of the last title run. Still, defensive end is not Green Bay’s biggest need and the defensive front as a whole is in good shape for LaFleur’s first season at the helm.Stay tuned for part two!

Britton Colquitt Jersey , we look at which players could comprise the Browns’ 53-man roster." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesDawgs EDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Cleveland Browns 53-Man Roster Projection (Pre-Training Camp Edition) TwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailThe Cleveland Browns will hold their first full-squad session of training camp on Thursday, July 25th, and that means it is time for me to unveil my first 53-man roster projection of the season. This pre-training camp edition is my current perception for how things will go, but it could change drastically over the next couple of weeks based on reports from training camp and performances in the preseason games.I will have two more roster projections as training camp progresses: one will be after the second preseason game, and the final one will immediately follow the final preseason game. Remember that there is only one cutdown date — straight from 91 to 53 players..dbn {background: #fff;width: 600px;padding: 2px;font-size: 12px;color: #FFFFFF;}tr:first-child td {font-weight: bold;TEXT-ALIGN: center; BACKGROUND: #DF6108; COLOR: white; VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom;}td {border: 1px solid #000;padding-left: 2px;}tr:nth-child(even) {background: #330000;color: white;}tr:nth-child(even) td {color: white;}tr:nth-child(odd) {background: #FFDB9F;color: black;}tr td:first-child {text-align:center;font-weight:bold;}The list above contains 53 players that I kept, and 37 players that I cut. That comes out to 90 players, and then RB Kareem Hunt set to go on the suspension list to begin the year.Every year, I fill in each player’s name on either the “roster” side or the “cut” side, without tallying whether or not I have surpassed the 53-player limit. Then, I count up the left side, and if I am over 53 players, I weigh my options and decide who the “tough” cuts are. This year, I came to 50 players, so I was able to bump three players over from my “cuts” list.General Roster Projection NotesQuarterback: The Browns’ depth behind Baker Mayfield isn’t very strong Tyrod Taylor Jersey , but Drew Stanton figures to stick around, and Garrett Gilbert’s stock is as high as it can get after a successful AAF stint. It would be ideal if Gilbert shined in camp, allowing him to become the backup quarterback as Stanton sticks to the veteran backup role.Running Back: The Browns have doubled down on their commitment to Duke Johnson, and with Kareem Hunt suspended for the first eight games, there is no chance Johnson misses the roster. I see the club carrying only three running backs to start the year, as they would prefer to stash talent at other positions. Orson Charles is my default fullback, but that roster spot is extremely fluid right now for any position that needs an extra number.Wide Receiver: We know who the first four receivers are, but what about the fifth? (Or in my case, sixth). I have Derrick Willies staying on, and then the biggest “surprise” of camp is Ishmael Hyman. I have to ride with the momentum of him getting first-team reps during minicamp, and the fact that he’s a candidate to return punts.Tight End: I have to say, I did not feel confident about putting Seth DeValve as the No. 3 tight end. Don’t get me wrong — I still like the guy, but the Browns already have so many weapons who can catch the ball, that they may prefer their third tight end be a blocking tight end. I just don’t know who that is right now Baker Mayfield Color Rush Jersey , so DeValve sticks around for now.Offensive Line: It’ll be interesting to see who wins the starting right guard job, but I’m keeping all the candidates on the roster for depth purposes anyway. Kendall Lamm could sneak on the roster if the team wants another offensive tackle for depth.Defensive Line: You know what’s funny is that I thought I would easily be stacking 10-11 players at this position when I made my list. Instead, after I listed the first four, I put Chris Smith and Chad Thomas on there by default to make six, but looked at the rest of the group and thought, “Hmmm, the depth here is weaker than I thought.”Linebacker: The Browns will rely on a mix of rookies and average veterans to improve their depth at linebacker this year -- I’m speaking to the likes of Sione Takitaki, Mack Wilson, and Adarius Taylor.Safety: Is four safeties enough? I think so — the team has Damarious Randall and Morgan Burnett penciled in as starters, and after that, a rookie and a veteran also trying to make an impression. Adding a fifth safety could happen if Jermaine Whitehead is needed for special teams, but I’d lean heavier on cornerback.Cornerback: With a new defensive coordinator, we at least know that Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams are safe. After that? Who knows. I loved Terrance Mitchell last year and T.J. Carrie improved later in the season, but sometimes https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Emmanuel-Ogbah-Jersey , players just fall out of favor. I am stacking the depth for now with Phillip Gaines and rookie Donnie Lewis Jr.Special Teams: The question mark here is at kicker, where I’m keeping Greg Joseph for now. Punter could also be a question mark if the Scottish Hammer impresses, but we’ll see on that. The single asterisks on the cut side represent my projected practice squad, which includes RB D’Ernest Johnson, WR Damion Ratley, WR Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi, OL Brad Seaton, DL Daniel Ekuale, DL Devaroe Lawrence, LB Willie Harvey, S J.T. Hassell, S Tigie Sankoh, CB Robert Jackson, and K Austin Seibert. One thing I noticed this year is that while there is a lot of starting talent that I love for the Browns Denzel Ward Jersey , and some backups that I know will make it too, there are legitimately 10 spots on my 53-man roster that I look at and think, “I’m not really emotionally invested or sold on this guy making the final roster.” That is a good thing, because it should spark some good competition among the backups in camp, where hopefully some players really stand out to distance themselves from the rest.Feel free to share your roster projections here, or some changes you would make to mine. The Browns learned on Thursday that they won’t be facing Jets quarterback Sam Darnold on Monday night because Darnold has been diagnosed with mononucleosis and will be out of the lineup indefinitely.Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens was asked if the switch from Darnold to Trevor Siemian would lead to a change in preparation for the game. Kitchens said it wouldn’t because the Browns have more than enough to worry about when it comes to getting their own house in order.“It was very evident, we don’t need to worry about who’s playing, who’s not playing,” Kitchens said, via the . “We’re going to prepare like we prepare. Nothing at all [will change]. We’re going to be focused on our preparation during the week the same as we would’ve been before. We’re going to try to get after the quarterback just like we did before. We try to affect the quarterback every way that we can, through coverage, through pressure.”Kitchens added that Siemian “can play” and the Broncos went 13-11 in games that he started over the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

So after Washington running back Derrius Guice deleted the message which accused Packers safety Darnell Savage of a “cheap shot Tramon Williams Color Rush Jersey ,” Savage still said he was surprised to hear about the accusation.Guice is out for the season again, after leaving last week’s game with a knee injury, after Savage took him down at the end of a 23-yard run. Guice initially tweeted: “I think it was a cheap shot. He knows the history of my knee injuries and he went straight at them.”“I’m sure you guys can [see], I’m not a dirty player,” Savage said, via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “In my career, I’ve never done anything to hurt anybody. It’s unfortunate it happened. I actually told a couple of my teammates, ‘I hope he’s good https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Marcedes-Lewis-Jersey ,’ after it happened.“But if he feels that way, it is what it is.”Savage denied that he’d target an injury, but admitted that league rules about hitting opponents in the head made the make quick decisions.“It’s tough, it’s definitely tough,” Savage said. “We’re put in a bind with that. You have to make do. It’s unfortunate it happened. He’s a great back and I know he’s battled some injuries, but when you’re out there on the field I’m not targeting a guy because of injuries he’s had or anything like that.”Again, Guice has since taken down the message, so perhaps some internet forgiveness has been achieved. It’s a small step for grace and civility https://www.thepackersfanshop.com , but perhaps a meaningful one. If attendance at the team’s annual shareholder meeting means anything (and it probably doesn’t), the Packers are currently moving in the wrong direction. The very last line of the article in the story regarding Wednesday night’s annual gathering points out that attendance as “well below normal at 4,200.”That would seem to require further analysis, or at least historical comparison. For example, the article could have mentioned that, in 2018,5,900 showed up. It could have mentioned that Green Bay Packers Customized Jerseys , in 2017, 7,000 attended. It could have mentioned, as last year’s item in the same publication did, that the record attendance came in 1998, with 18,707.It’s unclear why the trend has begun moving so sharply in the wrong direction. Yes, the event can be viewed online; but home games can be seen on TV Green Bay Packers T-Shirts , too. Fans still show up for the real thing — and Packers fans used to show up in much bigger numbers to witness the annual shareholder meeting.Maybe two straight years of no playoffs and skepticism about where the team is going from here under a first-year, first-time head coach is starting to poke holes in hearts filled with cheese. Or maybe, given that it’s been several years since the team sold new shares of non-stock stock, the novelty that comes from legitimately being able to refer to the team as “we” has worn off.Regardless, the owners of the team aren’t as engaged as they were not that long ago — and definitely not as engaged as they were in 1998.

Chris Ballard went virtually all in on defense in this year’s draft. He hopes the payoff is worth it.After watching the Colts improve from No. 30 in total defense in 2018 to No. 11 last season Jacoby Brissett Jersey , Ballard used seven of his first eight picks adding assets for second-year defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus.“I guess now you understand what the plan was. Speed, competition on defense, plain and simple,” Ballard said. “We wanted to get athletic, fast players who fit our mold, which I think we accomplished.”Ballard did what he could to ensure the progression continues. The Colts haven’t produced back-to-back top-20 finishes in total defense since 2013 and 2014 and haven’t posted a top-10 ranking since 2004 when they were No. 4.Now, just months after Andrew Luck led the Colts back to the playoffs and was the overwhelming choice as the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year, Ballard invested heavily on the other side of the ball.“I feel a little defensive today,” team owner Jim Irsay joked as he entered the Colts’ media room. “We really thought those four picks we had on Friday were really Reggie Wayne Color Rush Jersey , really game-changers for us to make us a better football team.”He didn’t just dip his toe into a deep pool of talented defenders — he dove in head first looking for players who could primarily pressure quarterbacks or hold up in pass coverage.Indy needed to get better in both areas, and Ballard did everything in his power to make it happen. Three times, he swapped picks. He also traded veteran defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway to Philadelphia for an extra seventh-round choice, No. 246 overall.Ballard also took some calculated risks by selecting Ben Banogu, who played primarily defensive end at TCU. The Colts will try to convert him into a multi-positional linebacker. Indy also plans on using Southern California safety Marvin Tell III at cornerback. But if those experiments fail, Ballard figures the fallback options aren’t much of a gamble.“When I first took the job, I think I told you all we know we’re getting it right when we’re cutting guys and they’re going to play for other teams,” Ballard said. “When we get our roster to 65 and 54 to 65 is popping up in other places, I know we’re getting it right. We’re not there yet https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Rigoberto-Sanchez-Jersey , but we’re a lot closer.”WHO THEY GOTThe defensive run began with cornerback Rock Ya-Sin early in the second round and didn’t stop until late in the final round of the draft Saturday. Along the way, the Colts selected three linebackers — Banogu, Bobby Okereke of Stanford, and E.J. Speed of Tarleton State — two safeties — Khari Willis of Michigan State and Tell — and defensive end Gerri Green of Mississippi State. The Colts took speedy receiver Parris Campbell late with their second-round pick and closed the draft by using seventh-round selections on tackle Jackson Barton of Utah and center Javon Patterson of Mississippi.SURPRISE MOVEColts fans were disappointed when Ballard sent the No. 26 overall pick to Washington for two second-rounders. But the selection of Speed, who played at the Division II level, created the most intrigue. Speed was not a familiar name to most fans because he was not invited to the NFL scouting combine, didn’t play in any college all-star games and said he turned down chances to play at more Big 12 schools so he could be near his adopted brother, who was battling cancer.HOW THEY DIDBallard prefers substance to splash — and this was another draft that reflected his philosophy. Indy thinks Ya-Sin can be a lockdown cornerback, and Ballard filled his most glaring hole on the depth chart by choosing all those linebackers. He also found some depth for the offensive line and Marlon Mack Jersey , perhaps most important, gave coach Frank Reich a dangerous deep threat who can create mismatches in multiple spots on the offense.WHAT’S NEXT?This weekend is only the start for Indianapolis, and Ballard knows it. Over the past two seasons, he’s plucked key contributors off the waiver wire (starting cornerback Pierre Desir and right guard Mark Glowinski), from other teams’ practice squads (center-guard Evan Boehm), and even off the street (safety Mike Mitchell). Plus, the Colts have had at least one undrafted rookie make the roster out of training camp for 20 consecutive seasons — the longest active streak in the league. The first component came Saturday when Ballard announced Indy would pick up the fifth-year option on starting center Ryan Kelly. So expect Ballard to stay busy between now and the Sept. 8 season opener at the Los Angeles Chargers. Eric Ebron had a strong first season with the Colts and the tight end has set his sights even higher for 2019.Ebron caught 13 touchdowns during the 2018 season, which topped the 11 touchdowns he caught over his first four seasons and left him four shy of Rob Gronkowski’s record for receiving touchdowns in a season. Ebron said Tuesday that he’s set Gronkowski’s mark as his goal for the coming season.“I believe Gronk still holds the record for most touchdowns, which is 17 Quenton Nelson Color Rush Jersey ,” Ebron said, via the . “So if I want to do anything that’s gonna be real spectacular or anything that’s gonna be really good, I gotta go get 17. And if I go get 17, what do I do? I help my team win games. I did that, proved that and I feel like if I’m at my best, I feel like this team will be at their best.”Ebron said he believes the Colts defense will be a dangerous one and that’s been a familiar refrain throughout the offseason in Indianapolis. Andrew Luck‘s ability to find Ebron in the end zone is a big part of those predictions and they stand a pretty good chance of coming true even if Ebron falls short of the record.

WATFORD J.R. Sweezy Color Rush Jersey , England (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks‘ Michael Dickson knows his unconventional punting style is likely to catch the eye of a few kicking enthusiasts in England.Punts don’t score points, though, so he believes the fans might be a bit more dazzled by placekicker Sebastian Janikowski.“The drop kick is cool,” Dickson said. “You do that in rugby a lot. I don’t know if we’ll be doing it too much … so (Janikowski) hitting a few field goals will probably get the crowd pretty happy, I’d say.”Dickson found himself in the spotlight on Sept. 17 when he tried a drop kick during a kickoff, and later an onside kick, in the Seahawks’ 24-17 loss to the Chicago Bears. On Sunday, the rookie from Sydney by way of Texas will take his technique to London as the Seahawks face the Oakland Raiders in the first of three NFL games to be played at Wembley Stadium this season. The drop kick may be much more common in rugby, but Dickson, who didn’t touch a football until 2014, never played the sport. Instead, he grew up playing Australian Rules Football, and as a defender, it was partly his responsibility to kick the ball away.“I had a big kick when I was playing Aussie rules football, so I decided that I wanted to give (the NFL) a go one day Quinton Jefferson Color Rush Jersey ,” Dickson said. “I didn’t really know about the college football process or anything and hadn’t really watched much American football. I just knew I liked it when I tried out and met an Australian punting coach, and it kind of just took off from there.”Seattle liked Dickson enough to trade up with the Denver Broncos to draft him in the fifth round. He unseated Jon Ryan, the Seahawks’ punter for the last 10 seasons, and in Week 1 became the first NFL player to average more than 59.9 yards on six punts — including a 69-yarder in the third quarter of a 27-24 loss at Denver.“Field position is enormously important to our style of play, and Michael kicking the ball deep, pinning them back, is important, but (so is) changing the field with some kicks that he’s capable of doing — not to mention the other things,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. “The placement of the ball and the things like that … (are) a lot of really cool things that you don’t normally get from a punter, so we’re just trying to go with it and really understand how to better utilize him.”A few of those cool things were unveiled against Chicago, with Seattle turning to Dickson rather than Janikowski to try to pin the Bears deep after they were penalized on a third-quarter extra point attempt.Dickson, from the 50, kicked the ball after a bounce to the Bears 1-yard line, where it was returned to the 15 by Anthony Miller. It was the first drop kick since 2015, when the New England Patriots‘ Nate Ebner Tom Johnson Color Rush Jersey , an Olympic rugby sevens player, tried it on a kickoff against the Philadelphia Eagles. If that wasn’t enough, Dickson was called upon to try to drop kick an onside kick with 14 seconds remaining, but the Bears recovered it.“It’s always a concern and it’s a little unpredictable where it can go, but in a way, you like that,” special teams coach Brian Schneider said. “The good thing is you can disguise it where you want it to go much easier than if it was a kicker.”Dickson, who entered the week fourth in the league with 1,348 gross punting yards, downplayed the drop kicks, saying there are a number of factors that go into how and where he punts the ball.Fittingly, the last thing he wants is to become predictable.“Depending on what teams show what fronts they have and what personnel they have out there, you know, different kicks work for different teams,” Dickson said. “There is some room Rasheem Green Color Rush Jersey , but it’s not going to be an every week thing.”NOTES: Carroll said the Seahawks decided upon a Thursday arrival in England after studying other teams’ previous routines. “We took full advantage of the Mercator route and in doing so, it was like a nine hours or something flight,” he said. “It worked out. It was great.” … Safety Kam Chancellor traveled with the team in a support role. Chancellor remains on the physically unable to perform list after injuring his neck last season and is unlikely to be cleared to resume his career. … LB K.J. Wright (knee) did not practice Thursday, but Carroll said TE Nick Vannett, who sat out Wednesday, is “fine.” The Seattle Seahawks not only lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, but they didn’t get favorable results in other games. All of a sudden, the Minnesota Vikings are 1鈦? game behind Seattle again for the #5 seed, while both Washington and the Philadelphia Eagles scored unlikely road wins to boost themselves to 7-7. We’ll see if the Carolina Panthers can cap off a crazy Week 15 by beating the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.I don’t want this to be a “doom and gloom” playoff picture article, but I also remember when the Seahawks were 8-4 last year and had an outside shot at the #2 seed. Instead, the perfect storm of bad results knocked Seattle out of a playoff spot by Week 17. You should always brace for the worst case scenario, and unlike last year, the good news for the 2018 Seahawks is they’re guaranteed to still be in a wild card spot regardless of Week 16’s results. So what is that worst case scenario? Here you go...—Seahawks lose vs. the Kansas City Chiefs AND—Washington wins at the Tennessee Titans AND—Eagles win vs. the Houston Texans AND—Vikings win at the Detroit LionsThat would mean the Seahawks, Washington, and Philadelphia would all be at 8-7 Will Dissly Color Rush Jersey , while the Vikings would have an 8-6-1 record plus the #5 seed. It also makes it mathematically impossible for the Seahawks to qualify for the playoffs at 8-8, as Philly and Washington play each other in Week 17. Seattle has never lost three straight games in a season under Russell Wilson, but frankly if they can’t win at home against an Arizona Cardinals team that looks worse now than when these two teams met in Week 4, they really don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.Again, this is the worst case scenario, not the likely scenario. If Washington and Philadelphia both lose, Seattle has a much greater chance of qualifying in a situation where they collapse to 8-8. The best case scenario is that the Seahawks beat the Chiefs, and a trio of losses by Washington, Philadelphia, and Minnesota assure Seattle of the #5 seed and a chance to rest starters against the Cardinals in week 17. The Panthers already lost to the Seahawks, so even if they win out, one Seattle victory renders Carolina unable to overtake Seattle. So let’s root for that!

Blake Martinez Jersey White , both of whom caught many passes from Aaron Rodgers and shared a huddle and a locker room with him, recently criticized the Packers quarterback. Another former receiver, Jordy Nelson, has come to Rodgers’ defense.A current Packers receiver, Davante Adams, had his say Wednesday.“I feel like I have made it pretty evident about how I feel about it already,” Adams said Tramon Williams Jersey White , via video from Stacey Dales of NFL Media. “It’s something that I’m really trying to put in the past at this point because it’s nothing even to continue to drag on. I think you’ve heard from all the people who are relevant at this point and actually matter, which are the people who played with him and played with him recently and had those good relationships with him. I think that it’s been pretty uniform as far as we feel about him — a great leader. All the negative things I’ve heard, I share none of those feelings with those guys. Nobody reached out to me. Nobody reached out to James Jones. Nobody reached out to Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, any of these guys who obviously had a good relationship with him. I think if those people were interviewed about him the story would been a lot different.”No one outside the locker room has put the controversy and criticism involving Rodgers and the Packers to rest yet. But if those in the locker room have and Rodgers returns to being Rodgers and the Packers return to winning, then it quickly will go away once the season starts. McCarthy doesn’t seem to understand how and why his coaching philosophy stopped working."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections The APC PodcastPackers Film RoomFantasy Football AdviceCDTShareTweetShareShareMike McCarthy’s definition of complacency seems to differ from the Packers’Steven Bisig-USA TODAY SportsThis week, ESPN’s Rob Demovsky conducted the first in-depth interview with former Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy since the team fired him DeShone Kizer Jersey White , and it provides a fascinating window into his philosophy as a coach (and in life). It also illustrates how complacency and accountability can mean different things to different people. McCarthy comes across as an honorable man who believes in doing things a certain way. He objects strongly to the process of his own firing because of how it happened more than the fact that it did happen — because when he let people go, he would go about it in a certain way. That way generally involved treating players as family, being upfront and respectable, and yes, when they did mess up, holding them accountable. It is also pretty clear that McCarthy’s code and routine were the cause of some disconnect between McCarthy and the front office:McCarthy took offense to charges of complacency and lack of accountability, and from his perspective I can see why. The internal structure and relationships he built within his team did seem to be solid David Bakhtiari Jersey White , and fostered an air of mutual respect. McCarthy ran a close-knit, tight ship. The issue is that the Packers are not a family. The Packers are a cold, heartless business focused on results. I found this quote particularly intriguing:McCarthy famously focused on execution on the football field. His entire coaching strategy was based on creating routine and a process around executing his plays as well as they could be executed. While there is nothing wrong with executing at a high level, the current NFL requires that coaches not just accept change, but embrace it. Criticisms of McCarthy focused on his lack of innovation. The Packers’ offense grew stale, and while the league reacted to an ever-changing landscape, he stayed the same. That lack of innovation is its own form of complacency http://www.packerslockerroom.com/authentic-aaron-jones-jersey , and the lack of insight in this interview is revealing. No one accused McCarthy of a poor work ethic or lack of discipline, and the way he takes offense is interesting because he doesn’t seem to understand why his team struggled or why he was fired. McCarthy was fired because his scheme failed to stay ahead of the curve strategically, and executing on a poor strategy doesn’t win you anything. The flavor of the day in the NFL is the innovative young mind, but that’s a fairly superficial oversimplification. Andy Reid is still getting it done, as is Bill Belichick, and neither are exactly babies. The biggest successes in the league do a different kind of homework than McCarthy, and until he realizes that Bart Starr Jersey White , he won’t be effective in his next role either.

EAGAN Replica Olisaemeka Udoh Jersey , Minn. (AP) — Thanks to Adam Thielen, Minnesota’s record book has already needed several revisions this year.Just past the midpoint of the schedule for the Vikings, Thielen leads the NFL in receptions (78) at a pace that would fall four short of the all-time single-season mark (143). He leads the league with 947 yards. Kirk Cousins, the new prize quarterback with the annual $28 million salary cap hit, without prompting recently called Thielen the best player on this standout-laden team. The accolades of this magnitude might not exist for Thielen, though, without Stefon Diggs.Thielen and Diggs are the only teammates currently in the top 10 in the league in catches, on pace for a combined 242. That would break the record for receptions by a pair of teammates, set in 1995 by Herman Moore and Brett Perriman for Detroit with 231.Opposing defenses are naturally less likely to apply double coverage on Thielen when Diggs is in a pattern at the same time, as evidenced by contrast in a victory over the Lions last week . With Diggs sidelined by a rib injury, Thielen didn’t have much space. He used one of his textbook double moves to beat cornerback Nevin Lawson for a short touchdown , his seventh of the year, but he finished with only 22 yards for his lowest total since the 2016 season. The mutual benefit of this dominant wide receiver duo Stitched Olisaemeka Udoh Jersey , though, began on the practice field years ago.“We’re always competing, we’re always having fun, and we’re always giving each a hard time if we’re not performing at the level we know we can,” Thielen said.If Thielen makes a catch in practice, Diggs will often make it a point to create even more separation from the defender the next time he’s assigned to run the same route. That, in turn, frequently triggers playful yet spirited banter between the two.“He’s my brother. He’s a guy I love messing with, love having fun with,” Thielen said. “He’s even one of my best friends.”At a position that has long produced some of the NFL’s biggest personalities, in some cases breeding a disruptive brand of selfish and boorish behavior, Thielen and Diggs are the anti-divas. Part of that is a product of their route, no pun intended Olisaemeka Udoh Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , to the league.Thielen was the NCAA Division II player who went undrafted and needed a rookie tryout camp to make the team five years ago. He didn’t become a full-time starter until 2016. Diggs was the fifth-round draft pick who was a healthy scratch for his first three NFL games in 2015.“All the cute stuff, like records being broken and stuff like that, you like it and it’s good to hear, but we always want to win,” Diggs said. “We worry about the win column more than anything. So to see good things happen? Yes, it’s exciting. Yes, you congratulate your guys, because guys work extremely hard, you know? So it’s always good stuff, and it’s good stuff moving in the right direction, but we want to win.”The Vikings (5-3-1) have been doing that more lately after a rough first quarter of the season, entering their bye week a step behind Chicago (5-3) in the NFC North, with a prime-time matchup with the Bears up next on Nov. 18.Cousins has been as advertised Minnesota Vikings Jerseys Stitched , ranking in the top 10 in the league in most of the passing categories, including third in completion percentage despite being prone to a costly turnover here and there. The offensive line has again shown vulnerabilities, though, and the Vikings have averaged the fourth-fewest rushing yards in the league.Thielen and Diggs have been all the more valuable to the Vikings this fall, with an assist by new offensive coordinator John DeFilippo for aggressive and creative play calling that has helped spring them open so much.“He uses his playmakers, and he just lets them play. So I admire that, and I appreciate that,” Diggs said. “As a player you just want to do the best that you can, and it’s good that he plays to your strengths.”The defense, which led the NFL in fewest yards and points allowed last year, was surprisingly one of the biggest problems in September. After that humbling loss in Los Angeles to the Rams dropped the Vikings to 1-2-1, though, coach Mike Zimmer has helped steer the group back into dominant form. With daunting road trips to Chicago Olisaemeka Udoh Jersey nfl draft , New England and Seattle looming over three of the next four games, the pressure will be on the offense to do its part.“When you look at it glass half-full, I’m thrilled about our locker room, the chemistry we have on this team, the quality of teammates, the quality of leadership we have in this organization. I think all that has probably even exceeded expectations from me,” Cousins said. “Certainly would have loved to be better than 5-3-1, but I’m grateful we’re not 3-5-1. You can look at it both ways. The point is, we keep saying, everything is in front of us.”Minnesota Vikings officially place Nick Easton on IR, sign OG Kaleb Johnson On Monday, the Minnesota Vikings made a move to shore up their offensive line depth a bit, at least for the remainder of Training Camp. The team has signed guard Kaleb Johnson Super Bowl Olisaemeka Udoh Jersey , who had been waived by the Chicago Bears on Saturday. Johnson played his college ball at Rutgers, and went undrafted in 2015. He’s never appeared in a regular season NFL game, but has made stops with the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs in his first three seasons in the NFL.To make room for him on the roster, the Vikings officially placed guard Nick Easton on injured reserve, effectively ending his season. Easton had surgery on a herniated disc in his neck last week after getting a second opinion on his injuries. This certainly isn’t the high-impact signing that I’m sure most Vikings fans were hoping for, but it does give the team more offensive linemen to take a look at over the course of the rest of this preseason. We’ll have to see how the situation shakes out over the next couple of weeks.

Fourth round pick Trevon Wesco Chuma Edoga Jersey Boys , fifth round pick Blake Cashman, and sixth round pick Blessaun Austin signed their rookie contracts late last week. These are all four year contracts.Polite’s fellow third round pick Chuma Edoga still has yet to sign his rookie contract. That is a formality. Edoga’s deal will also last four years when signed.First round pick Quinnen Williams also remains unsigned. His deal will last four years and have a team option for a fifth year. Williams’ deal is mostly a formality, although a few minor details will need to be hammered out. The Buffalo Bills are going with newly signed journeyman Matt Barkley as their starting quarterback Infant Chuma Edoga Jersey , rather than provide turnover-prone Nathan Peterman another chance. The Bills ruled out injured rookie Josh Allen on Saturday and announced Barkley is expected to start against the New York Jets on Sunday. Barkley gets the nod ahead of Peterman despite having just two weeks of practice experience since signing Oct. 30.Barkley will become the fourth quarterback to start for the team this season, and third in three weeks. It will be his first start in two years since going 1-5 with the Chicago Bears in 2016.Allen will miss his fourth straight game since spraining his right throwing elbow in a 20-13 loss at Houston on Oct. 14. The first-round pick practiced on a limited basis this week and will get additional time to recuperate with Buffalo entering its bye week after playing the Jets.Veteran backup Derek Anderson had already been ruled out with a concussion. The Bills also announced starting rookie middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds has been cleared to play after missing one game with a concussion. They also promoted receiver Robert Foster from the practice squad and released linebacker Ramon Humber.Buffalo (2-7) has lost four straight and is off to its worst start since losing eight of its first nine games in 2010.The game between the two AFC East teams will feature a matchup of backups rather than first-round picks. The Jets (3-6) are starting 39-year-old Josh McCown with rookie Sam Darnold sidelined by a strained right foot. Darnold was drafted third overall, four spots ahead of Allen.Barkley is on his sixth team in six seasons since being selected by Philadelphia in the fourth round of the 2013 draft. He was most recently in Cincinnati before being cut by the Bengals in September after hurting his knee in a preseason game.“It hasn’t maybe been the plan I signed up for when I thought of going to the NFL Chuma Edoga Jersey Draft ,” Barkley said of his pro career, which came after he set numerous school records as a four-year starter at Southern California. “But from what I’ve been able to learn along the way, I think I’m in a great spot right now.”Overall Chuma Edoga NFL Jersey , Barkley has gone 159 for 266 for 1,911 yards passing with eight touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 11 NFL appearances. That’s much better than Peterman’s production since being selected in the fifth round of the 2017 draft.Peterman has thrown seven interceptions in four appearances this season, including three in a 41-9 loss to Chicago last weekend. Overall Chuma Edoga NFL Draft , he’s thrown 12 interceptions in eight appearances and is best remembered for getting picked off five times in the first half of a 54-24 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers a year ago.The Bills offense has struggled no matter who’s started this season.Buffalo has scored a league-worst 96 points and just two touchdowns in its past four games. The quarterbacks have combined for just three touchdowns passing and 16 interceptions, including five by Allen.

of challenging matchups Antonio Garcia Jersey , especially those who rely on the Cardinals, Chiefs, Chargers and Vikings, who are all on a bye. With few projected offensive slugfests on the docket, scores could be low, but for those competing for playoff spots or building a money-winning DFS lineup, finding hidden gems will be key to success.START: Sam Darnold, QB, Jets: The second-year pro is turning a corner, evidenced by a 6:2 TD to INT margin over the past three weeks. Darnold could continue to shine for his fantasy users as he faces a Raiders defense that allows the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks along with the third-most touchdown passes allowed (24).SIT: Jared Goff, QB, Rams: Goff has failed to throw a touchdown pass in his past two games while also tossing three interceptions. The Ravens have solved their early season issues against opposing passers and have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Baltimore is also tied for third with just nine touchdown passes allowed.START: Nick Chubb, RB, Browns: The lack of touchdowns is a mild concern, but Chubb has rushed for at least 87 yards in eight of his past nine games, including four games of at least 100 yards. He’s a definite must-start against a Dolphins defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing runners and is second only to the Bengals in most rushing yards allowed.SIT: Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles: Granted, it was the Patriots D, but Sanders managed just 38 yards on 11 carries while getting the bulk of the carries with Jordan Howard down. If Howard is sidelined again, a heavy dose of Sanders may not go far against the Seahawks, who ranked 12th overall in fewest rushing yards allowed.START: T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts: He’s a potential game-time decision, but if Hilton plays, it presents another opportunity to continue his career of dominating against the Texans secondary. In 15 games against Houston, Hilton has a combined 82 catches for 1 Womens Julian Edelman Jersey ,519 yards and 10 touchdowns, numbers he can improve on as the Texans have the sixth-worst fantasy defense against opposing receivers while also giving up 22 touchdown passes.SIT: Terry McLaurin, WR, Redskins: His production has continued to decline. After breaking out as a reliable WR2, McLaurin has not scored a touchdown since Week 6 while totaling a mere 158 yards since Week 7. The uncertainty of rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins also does not help his cause, even against a Lions defense that has allowed the third-most receiving yards and fifth-most TD passes.START: Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens: Lamar Jackson has no qualms of getting his tight end heavily involved, having targeted him eight times in three of the past five games. Andrews also has scored three touchdowns in the past two games and is also the best deep threat at his position, having caught 11 passes for at least 20 yards this season.SIT: Jimmy Graham, TE, Packers: The 49ers have made opposing tight ends a non-factor, ranking second only to the Bills in fewest fantasy points allowed at the position. Graham has yet to have more than 65 receiving yards this season and has 20 or fewer yards in three of his past five games. There will be better options on the waiver wire.START: DJ Chark, WR, Jaguars: His two best games this season have come with Nick Foles under center as two of his three 100-yard games have come with the former Super Bowl MVP at the helm. Chark will be good for double-digit targets and will benefit from the Titans’ focus on RB Leonard Fournette.SIT: Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys: Prescott has accounted for 1,098 yards and nine touchdowns in his past three games but will face the almost impregnable pass defense of the Patriots, who have allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. New England has given up just four touchdown passes and a league-low 5.3 yards per completion, numbers that will cool off the fantasy playoff hopes of anyone willing to start Prescott.START: Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks: The Eagles have allowed the fourth-fewest rushing yards in the league but will run into a back that has rushed for at least 89 yards in six of his past seven games. Carson also has had four 100-yard outings in that span and could be the rare back who can generate yards on Philly, especially if the Eagles are too worried about stopping Russell Wilson and the passing game.SIT: Nelson Agholor, WR, Eagles: In the past two games, Agholor has just seven receptions on 17 targets. A 41.1% reception rate isn’t going to cut it. The Seahawks are 28th in passing yards allowed per game and while the receiving options for QB Carson Wentz are thin, starting Agholor — who has not exceeded 50 receiving yards since Week 2 — is going to produce limited results.START: Jamison Crowder http://www.patriotslockerroom.com/authentic-sony-michel-jersey , WR, Jets: The prime beneficiary of Sam Darnold’s recent success, Crowder has caught 18 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns in his past three games. Oakland is 27th in passing yards allowed per game, making Crowder a solid option in any format.SIT: Brian Hill, RB, Falcons: Devonta Freeman’s replacement is averaging just over 3 yards per carry and has had little impact in the passing game. Now is not the time to bank on Hill’s numbers taking an upswing considering that the Buccaneers are second overall against the run and third in yards per carry allowed.START: Derrick Henry RB, Titans: Henry has averaged 104 yards in his past four games along with adding four touchdowns. The Jaguars have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs and with the way Henry has run over the past month, expect Henry to keep his solid RB1-level production rolling.SIT: Tyler Eifert, TE, Bengals: The Steelers have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, but it doesn’t mean adding Eifert to your roster, as he has managed 21 yards or fewer in five of his past six games. This column was provided to The Associated Press by SportsGrid Inc., www.sportsgrid.com New England drafted Bailey in the fifth round last month."WhitePatriots News Opinion and Analysis Contribute! After all, Bailey also served as a kickoff specialist at Stanford. Whether or not he will get a chance to do the same in the NFL remains to be seen, but the rookie certainly seems to be open for it.“I would love to be able to do that,” he told reporters shortly after he heard his name called on the third day of the draft. “It’s been a part of my game ever since I’ve been at Stanford. It’s something I would like to continue. A lot of NFL teams really value a punter that can also kickoff because it kind of helps out the kicker if he’s getting old or something or doesn’t have a strong kickoff leg, so whatever happens, I’ll be super happy with it.”Bailey hits the nail on the head in his answer: having someone else — someone like himself — work on kickoffs could lift some pressure off a place kicker. In the Patriots’ case, this is Stephen Gostkowski, who might very well benefit from seeing his responsibilities scaled back a bit. While Gostkowski is still a solid kicker, the recently re-signed veteran has had his fair shares of ups and downs over the last few seasons. In 2018, for example, Gostkowski made 98.3% of his extra points but ‘only’ 84.2% of all his field goal attempts. Could having another man do kickoffs help improve those numbers, particularly the latter? There’s no risk in trying, especially considering that Bailey has considerable experience kicking off: in his four collegiate seasons Joe Thuney Jersey , the neo-Patriot did it a combined 291 times; 173 of his kickoffs ended in touchbacks, with 12 others going out of bounds.Bailey improved each year in his dual role as punter and kickoff specialist, which led to him being drafted by the Patriots. In New England, however, the 21-year-old will not be guaranteed a roster spot despite the team moving up the board to grab him. Instead, the former Cardinal will have to go up against incumbent Ryan Allen, who was re-signed to a one-year deal in free agency after a tremendous performance during the Patriots’ 13-3 victory in Super Bowl 53.“I know he’s an awesome punter. I don’t know much about him, but I have a lot of respect for any NFL punter there is. I’m just excited to get to learn from him and get out there and compete,” said Bailey about his new teammate and rival. The competition mentioned could become a rather interesting one: Allen, the multi-year veteran and three-time world champion, going against a rookie challenger whose biggest attribute is the aforementioned versatility. His versatile skill set did not develop by accident. “I actually got started as a placekicker,” said Bailey when asked about his background and experience in the kicking game — and the versatility he brings to the Patriots’ table. “I didn’t kick or punt at all my freshman year of high school. Starting my sophomore year, there was an opening at the JV spot, so I started being a kicker there because I used to play soccer a lot when I was a kid.”“I ended up having a little bit of talent for it [...] and then senior year of high school I began punting. I really learned the ropes of punting — the in’s and out’s — from my Stanford special teams coordinator, coach Pete Alamar. I credit a lot, all of my development as a punter, to him,” continued the rookie, who is now looking at taking the next step in this journey over the course of the summer: making an NFL roster. When it comes to Bailey, this situation was in the making for quite some time now. “I’ve wanted to be an NFL punter for a really long time,” he said. “This has been what I’ve been working for for the past four years in college and a few years before that in high school, too. This has been my eventual goal for the last ten years, I guess, of my life. I’m really excited to kind of get into the building and figure out what the Patriots are all about.”

EAST RUTHERFORD White Jabrill Peppers Jerseys , N.J. (AP) — Two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning thinks the New York Giants are heading in the right direction, and the soon-to-be 38-year-old believes he has enough in the tank to lead them on another championship run.A day after the Giants (5-9) were eliminated from postseason contention for the sixth time in seven years, Manning said Monday the team didn’t win enough of the close games earlier in the season in their 1-7 start. He was encouraged how the team rebounded after the bye week, winning four of five games before being shut out by Tennessee on a rainy Sunday.“Yeah, I know I can play, I can make the throws,” said Manning, who has thrown for 3,689 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions while hitting almost 66 percent of his passes this season. “Yesterday, I made some good throws. So Jabrill Peppers Jerseys 2019 , it still feels like I can run around and make plays, and do a lot of good things. When there was a stretch when we were playing good football, and we just got to get back to it.”An hour earlier, first-year coach Pat Shurmur said he believed Manning can still play. When pressed about whether he wanted him back on the team, Shurmur said he wants all his players back. He noted the team has two more wins than last season with two games to play.“Coach has had my back all year. He’s been great. He believes in me,” Manning said. “That makes your job easier, when the coach believes in you. We know we can play better. So, it’s a start.”The Giants don’t have a quarterback in waiting. Rookie Kyle Lauletta, the fourth-round pick last year, was dreadful playing the fourth quarter a week ago against Washington. Alex Tanney is a journeyman backup.General manager Dave Gettleman could draft a quarterback next spring, but New York needs help on its lines White Jon Halapio Jerseys , linebacker and safety, just to name a few spots.Signing a free agent will cost money, so the Giants have a lot to think about in the offseason.Shurmur, who took over a 3-13 team, said missing the playoffs simply means the Giants did not attain their goal.“Does that mean we’re failures?” he said. “No. What it means is we’ve got a lot of work to do. That’s what it means, and I want to finish this year in a way that shows that we’ve grown so that we’re at a different spot than we were a year ago to make some more of that growth that we all know needs to happen.”Shurmur’s immediate goal is to win at Indianapolis this weekend and finish with a win at home against Dallas. He said he is playing to win and Manning is the guy who offers the teams its best chance. So he starts.Shurmur added he believes Manning has a couple of good years left.“I’ve seen him play good football, and I’ve seen how when we have a coordinated effort of protecting him, running the football effectively, and being able to run the ball throughout the game, it helps us,” Shurmur said. The question for the Giants in the offseason is whether they will be able to provide Manning the type of offense in whichhe can thrive. If they can protect him and run the ball with No. 2 overall draft pick Saquon Barkley Jon Halapio Jerseys 2019 , he has the arm to make all the passes. If they can’t, they might need a quarterback who offers the added dimension of being elusive.Wide receiver Sterling Shepard has experienced two dismal seasons for the team after making the playoffs as a rookie in 2016.“We’ve been fighting through a lot of stuff, showed some great things and showed some things that we need to correct,” he said, “and this will give us good momentum going into next season if we could finish strong and win two games against two really good teams.”NOTES: Shurmur did not know which of his injured players would be ready for Sunday’s game against the Colts, who improved to 8-6 with a shutout win over Dallas. C Spencer Pulley (calf), WR Russell Shepard (ankle), CB Antonio Hamilton (quad) were hurt Sunday. WR Odell Beckham Jr. has missed the last two games with a quad injury.Shurmur said the team is not shutting him down and he will play if ready. Former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley declined to work with the defensive backs at the Scouting Combine, saying he’s a quarterback, period. McSorley’s highest-profile college teammate isn’t happy that he was even asked.Giants running back Saquon Barkley, who played with McSorley at Penn State White Curtis Riley Jerseys , took to Twitter when he saw the report that NFL personnel people wanted McSorley to change positions.“So disrespectful,” Barkley wrote. But the reality is, there’s nothing disrespectful about asking a player to change positions. Players are asked to change positions all the time, and there have been dozens of college quarterbacks who played a different position in the NFL. Among the notables are Julian Edelman, Brian Mitchell, Antwaan Randle El, Braxton Miller, Blake Bell, Michael Robinson, Matt Jones, Denard Robinson Curtis Riley Jerseys 2019 , Jerick McKinnon, Brad Smith, and Josh Cribbs.McSorley was the fastest quarterback at this year’s Combine, but he wasn’t a great passer at Penn State. When you’re a fast quarterback but not a great passer, you’re going to be asked to change positions. There’s nothing disrespectful about that.

Tramon Williams Jersey White , veteran DBs, and D line impressed As the 18th annual Packers Family Night came to a close Saturday evening, all ears awaited an update on the health of left tackle David Bakhtiari, who was carted to the locker room with an apparent ankle injury. The concerns outweighed the highlights in an evening that otherwise celebrated a new football season in Green Bay with a slew of Packers making their first Lambeau Field appearance. With positive news on the injury front, a relieved Packers faithful can look back to a weekend that provided several attention-grabbing moments for individuals in three different position groups.1. J’Mon Moore and Equanimeous St. Brown looked the part at WRHeading into Family Night, the rookie receivers figured to receive a bountiful number of targets. That proved to be the case, as J’Mon Moore, Equanimeous St. Brown, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling each hauled in several passes. The night for St. Brown was exactly what Packers fans wanted to see - consistent hands, fairly precise route-running (on a variety of routes), and some early built-in trust with Aaron Rodgers. Peter Bukowski further detailed ESB’s performance here, and we saw an up-and-down evening for MVS.But Moore also stood out on two particular plays. The first was a 50-50 ball in the corner of the end zone in which Moore out-jumped veteran Josh Hawkins for a touchdown grab. Moore’s use of his 6-foot-3 size in the red zone was a welcome sign of his potential and helped offset a deep ball earlier in practice in which he gained separation from Jaire Alexander but was unable to complete the catch. On a second play, Moore displayed the run-after-the catch ability that made him a dangerous threat as a collegian. On a quick pass to the boundary from Tim Boyle, Moore made a move toward the sideline, before picking on Hawkins once again with a stiff-arm for around a 15-yard gain. I wrote about that particular type of play in the offseason as one that could help Moore find the field as a rookie, and this was an excellent first impression at the pro level.2.The secondary has legitimate competition, especially from overlooked veteran defensive backsWith the hyped additions of Jaire Alexander DeShone Kizer Jersey White , Josh Jackson, and Tramon Williams, the Packers’ cornerback unit seemingly received an offseason facelift. But it could also get a boost from a veteran corner that did not see the field for Green Bay last season: Herb Waters.Waters particularly impressed, winning a one-on-one battle early in the period against DeAngelo Yancey. Yancey attempted to fake a double-move and then break off his route toward the sideline, but Waters read it brilliantly and even under-cut Brett Hundley’s throw to break up a pass he probably should have intercepted. Waters then jumped a route during the second “Move the Ball” session for a near interception that prompted a big smile from Mike Pettine on the sideline. The former college receiver has ball skills and the athleticism that Joe Whitt, Jr. has always coveted in his prototypical cornerbacks. Unfortunately for Waters, his bid at a roster spot was cut short in 2017 after a shoulder injury shut him down on the first day of training camp. If he keeps making plays during the preseason, Waters could be one of the surprise “keeps” in a crowded defensive backfield.Whereas the cornerback position is stocked with numbers, the safety unit would appear to be on the lookout for even one of its members outside of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Kentrell Brice, and Josh Jones to have a standout camp and prove worthy of a roster spot. One of the players who took a step forward during Family Night was Jermaine Whitehead, who saw plenty of snaps a season ago. Whitehead’s name was heard twice as a blitzer on the evening, and he would have gotten home to the quarterback if allowed to make contact. Overall, the defense’s aggressive nature and ability to free up a blitzer was an exciting piece of the night and Whitehead played a role from the slot. The former Auburn Tiger also lined up in the dime as an extra cornerback, displaying the kind of versatility that wins roster spots.3. The defensive line only continues to improveNothing made me smile more in reviewing Family Night than the play of the interior defensive linemen. Many have called Kenny Clark a budding star and that notion was seconded after a night that Justin McCray will have nightmares about. In addition to getting into the backfield with frequency, Clark manhandled McCray in the video below and would have sacked Rodgers in live action. Clark’s athleticism, along with his brute strength and use of leverage will make him a Pro Bowler as soon as this year.Second-year jumps are important in Green Bay David Bakhtiari Jersey White , but perhaps no one has needed to prove himself with a second-year leap than Montravius Adams after a rocky rookie season slowed by a foot injury. In the early going, Adams is on pace to do that. Adams had a stellar Saturday summed up beautifully by Zach Kruse of Packers Wire. Not only was he penetrating the backfield in the running game, he was slipping by offensive linemen as a pass rusher. Although Dillon Day was playing out of position as a guard in the clip below and Adam Pankey looked lost at left tackle, Adams’ hands helped win him a surefire sack. He then continued McCray’s rough outing by creating pressure up the middle with a rip-and-swim move.If Clark and Adams sustain this level of tenacity up front, they will make a group that includes Mike Daniels, Muhammad Wilkerson, and Dean Lowry among the league’s best this year and beyond. Not only should they collectively stop the run at a high rate, but the line should help prevent quarterbacks from stepping up in the pocket on pass rushing downs. It’s all about bang for your buck in free agency, so identifying the best values will be at the top of Brian Gutekunst’s mind in the coming weeks."As the calendar ticks closer and closer to Super Bowl Sunday, Green Bay Packers fans and media continue to look ahead towards the start of free agency in March. The Packers have eleven players set to become unrestricted free agents, plus a handful more who will be restricted or exclusive-rights free agents as well.Several of those players will be back, particularly those in the earlier stages of free agency. Geronimo Allison, for example, will almost certainly return on a RFA deal. Lucas Patrick and Justin McCray, for all the Packers struggles at guard, are ERFAs and should return as well. The tenured veterans are where the biggest questions lie, and it’s unlikely that many — if any — of them will draw big contracts. Cornerback Bashaud Breeland tops our priority list http://www.packerslockerroom.com/authentic-aaron-jones-jersey , but there are reasons to think that a few of the other vets may return on short-term deals. As for outside free agents, one of the common positions that has been discussed is at slot receiver. However, one Packers writer suggests that a good option might already be on the roster in the form of a certain bearded local product. Maybe we can just skip the speculation about Cole Beasley and Jamison Crowder all together if the Packers really like what they have in Jake Kumerow? Green Bay will need an infusion of talent in free agency one way or another. Now it’s up to Brian Gutekunst to determine where he can get the best values and invest accordingly.Packers could let most (or even all) of their free agents walk - ESPNAs we've said here at APC, Bashaud Breeland should be priority number one for Brian Gutekunst when it comes to re-signing the Packers' own free agents.Jake Ryan preaching patience with recovery ongoing, future unclear | Packers.comRyan missed out on his contract year thanks to a torn ACL, which may result in him having to take a one-year deal in 2019. Would you be on board with bringing him back for another season at the league minimum?Could Jake Kumerow play the Cooper Kupp slot WR role for Packers? | Packers WireMaybe the Packers don’t need to sign a free agent slot receiver because their best option is already on the roster. That’s a theory that gets an examination here, as Kumerow never really got much of a chance to show his abilities in the regular season.Davante Adams: Packers' offense will be 'new-school' under new coach - ESPNAdams spoke once again about LaFleur's offense, and he sounds excited; he will absolutely be a featured weapon this season, and it looks like the new head coach plans to move him around inside and outside to set up better matchups for the elite receiver.Young coach, elite QB pairing could be challenge for Packers' LaFleur | Milwaukee Journal SentinelIt's rare for such a young coach to come in and work with an older, MVP-caliber quarterback. Perhaps Don Shula (33) and Johnny Unitas (30) are the best example of a similar pairing -- we'll just have to watch to see if LaFleur and Rodgers can sniff that pair's success with the Colts.Super Bowl 2019 prediction: Why the Rams slightly edge out the Patriots - SBNation.comThe Rams are the better team on paper, but the Patriots are... well, the Patriots. He used to be more personally involved with the merchandising Youth Garrett Bradbury Jersey , before outsourcing the work to avoid being too consumed by it.While his agent negotiated a deal with the Vikings late into the March night in 2017, Murray passed the time on his first visit to the team’s facility with some online work toward his MBA. He’s about halfway done, with a goal of completion for 2019 after he and Skanes are married. That’s one way he has begun to prepare himself at age 28 for his post-football years.“I’m just hoping that I’m doing something maybe bigger than what I’m doing right now,” Murray said. “That’s more than half of my life I’ll have when I’m done playing the game, and to try and limit it to just this right now would be dumb of me.”Returning to Minnesota this season required a pay cut to help the team squeeze several big-ticket contract extensions under the salary cap, but the Vikings have been getting a bargain for the second straight year.In 2017, Murray took over when Cook tore his ACL. This season, Cook has been bothered by a hamstring injury that again kept him from practicing on Thursday. When Murray signed with the Vikings, he was viewed as the replacement for Adrian Peterson. Then the Vikings made Cook their top draft pick and, thus, primary halfback. Murray could have been stung by the arrival of a hotshot rookie, but that wasn’t the case.“He took me in as a little brother Mike Hughes Jersey , and that’s what I respect most about him,” Cook said. “Most guys could just brush that off, but I highly respect Latavius for that. To this day, the bond has just got stronger.”Fondly remembering the way he was treated by his elders with the Raiders, Murray simply made a point to pay that support forward.“That was the kind of vets I had, guys who weren’t going to act like they were too good or too old or too big to try and teach me the game, hang out with me, have fun and do those kinds of things.”Murray has a budding family to play for now, too, but his memory of childhood friend Jonathan Diaz has always been painfully close. Diaz was shot to death in Syracuse in 2016, since when Murray’s motivation to succeed on the field has started with him.Diaz would have been proud of how Murray plowed through the Cardinals last Sunday, stiff-arming a safety on his way to a 21-yard touchdown run that helped the Vikings set the tone for an important victory.“We love blocking for him Anthony Barr Jersey ,” left guard Tom Compton said. “He gives you a lot of options. If you’re a little shaky on anything, he’ll definitely help you out and run a guy over for you.”With a forward lean to his running style that leads to plenty of yards after contact, Murray is a perfect complement to Cook and his more elusive skillset.“He’s a great person. He’s very diligent about his work. He practices hard, but he’s got good feet and acceleration,” coach Mike Zimmer said, adding: “When he gets a chance, very seldom is this guy going backward when he gets hit. A lot of those things I really like.”

to take another critical step.New York has the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL draft for the second straight year Brandon Shell Jersey , and general manager Mike Maccagnan has a chance to add a big-time difference-maker to his overhauled roster.Last year, the Jets got the quarterback they believe will be the face of the franchise for a long time in Sam Darnold. This time around, they’re looking for someone to punish opposing signal callers with Ohio State’s Nick Bosa, Kentucky’s Josh Allen and Alabama’s Quinnen Williams all in the mix. That is, if Maccagnan chooses to stay put, of course. He sent a clear message during the NFL combine in February that the Jets will certainly be open for business as far as draft-day trade talks. The Jets have just six picks, including two third-rounders, and one each in the fourth, sixth and seventh rounds.“Right now, we feel good at No. 3, but I’d definitely say if there’s an opportunity to trade down, we would absolutely look at it Womens Eric Tomlinson Jersey ,” Maccagnan said.“If we end up picking a player at No. 3, we’ll feel really good. If there’s an opportunity for us to move back and acquire more picks, that’s something we’d definitely be potentially interested in.“It would have to be the right kind of deal, but I definitely wouldn’t rule anything out at this point in time.”If they do stay put, they’ll be assured of adding a player who would fill one of the major holes still remaining after on offseason filled with changes through firings, hirings, trades and free agency, including a new coach (Adam Gase), a fiery defensive coordinator (Gregg Williams), one of the best running backs in the game (Le’Veon Bell), a playmaking inside linebacker (C.J. Mosley) and a bulldozing left guard (Kelechi Osemele).Oh, and the makeovers aren’t limited to just the roster. The Jets will be rockin’ flashy redesigned uniforms with a refreshed logo and metallic green helmets this season that have the players and many fans fired up.“It’s a new era http://www.jetslockerroom.com/authentic-darron-lee-jersey ,” safety Jamal Adams said. “It’s a new start.”Here are some things to know before the Jets go on the clock:GETTING TO THE QBThe Jets have been looking for a game-wrecking pass rusher for years, and they’re still in the hunt for one. They weren’t able to address that during free agency, with top options Justin Houston, Za’Darius Smith, Trey Flowers, Shaquil Barrett and Preston Smith all ending up elsewhere. That means New York will zero in on defensive end Bosa, outside linebacker Allen or defensive tackle Williams if they stay at No. 3. If Allen’s still there, consider this: the team’s last outside linebacker with double-digit sacks was John Abraham with 10½ in 2005. Yeah, it’s been a while.MAN IN THE MIDDLEVersatile offensive lineman Jonotthan Harrison was re-signed after he started the final seven games at center, but it’s uncertain if he’s the starter. The Jets considered Matt Paradis in free agency, but didn’t sign him. The only other player on the roster who has regularly played the position is Jon Toth, who spent last season on the practice squad. So Jamison Crowder Jersey , if the Jets do trade down and get a second-rounder, North Carolina State’s Garrett Bradbury or Texas A&M’s Erik McCoy could solve another big question mark.BIG BOYS UP FRONTOther than center, it appears the rest of the Jets’ offensive line is set with Osemele, left tackle Kelvin Beachum, right tackle Brandon Shell and right guard Brian Winters. But beyond that, there’s very little depth.Keeping Darnold protected is priority No. 1 for the franchise, so New York could aim to add a potential starter in the draft. Also, Beachum is signed only through this season and will turn 30 in June, so New York could be in the market for a left tackle to eventually replace him.TURNING THE CORNERCornerback Trumaine Johnson was the Jets’ big addition in free agency last year, but struggled with a quadriceps injury and inconsistency in his first season in New York. He’ll be counted on to bounce back this season, but it’s unclear who’ll be on the opposite side.Morris Claiborne has not been re-signed, so it could be Darryl Roberts Womens Leonard Williams Jersey , who has been mostly a spot starter at both cornerback and safety. The Jets also signed Brian Poole , who has been one of the league’s top nickel corners. So, they might look to add to the position in an early round.BY THE NUMBERSThe Jets have selected third overall in the NFL draft just twice, including last year when they traded up to get Darnold. The other time: 1981, when they took running back Freeman McNeil, the franchise’s second-leading rusher. Players know Organized Team Activities are voluntary, but Jets defensive tackle Steve McLendon thinks teammate Le’Veon Bell should volunteer to attend. McLendon, who previously played with Bell in Pittsburgh, said he encouraged Bell to show up to offseason work after Bell signed.“I talked to him and I told him, ‘You understand this place is different than Pittsburgh,’” McLendon said, via NorthJersey.com. “I said http://www.jetslockerroom.com/authentic-doug-middleton-jersey , ‘You need to get back so you can understand the quarterback and the situation.’ . . . I told him, ‘The media is gonna get you if you don’t come back.’ That’s the truth. I did tell him that.” Bell has declined to participate in voluntary work this offseason, and despite his own preferences, McLendon thinks all will work out in the end.“I know there’s been a lot of people saying, ‘Why is he not here? Because he was paid,’” McLendon said. “Listen, man, he’s not an All-Pro, Pro Bowl running back for no reason. Sometimes people prepare differently. Would we love him here? Yes. But when he comes here and he’s rocking and rolling and helping us get to where we want to go this season, ain’t nobody going to be thinking about it. And I know I’m not.”If having Bell there is important, perhaps the Jets should have put substantial workout bonuses in Bell’s contract to ensure he’d show. The failure of former Jets G.M. Mike Maccagnan to do that is now someone else’s problem.

he’ll be working on now that he won’t be playing football for the Patriots on Sundays this fall.At an event in New York Youth Donald Trump Jerseys , Gronkowski announced that he will be an advocate for the NFL and sports leagues to open to door to players using CBD products — namely CBDMEDIC — to aid in pain relief. CBD is currently on the NFL’s list of banned substances.Gronkowski said he was “not in a good place” as a result of the injuries he suffered over the course of his NFL career and echoed some of what Andrew Luck said last weekend about losing the joy in life because of the chronic pain that came with playing pro football. Gronkowski said that using CBD has helped him feel “pain-free” for the first time in a decade.Gronkowski also addressed the possibility that he’d return to the NFL. He didn’t slam the door shut, saying it “could be the case” in six months or several years before adding that he doesn’t feel close to being mentally able to return right now.“I truly don’t see it in the foreseeable future,” Gronkowski said. That leaves the matter open enough that people will continue to wonder if the tight end will be back on a football field one day while Gronkowski focuses on the chapter of his life he revealed on Tuesday. Continuing to look at the Cincinnati Bengals roster with the Zero-Snap Spotlight series<em>, looking at defensive lineman Marcus Hardison.</em>The Zero-Snap Spotlightseries is underway, taking a look at the lesser-known quantities of the Cincinnati Bengals roster. They aren’t the stars or big names playing in stripes. However, they are players that could have an impact on the 2017 season. While these players are spread thick throughout the roster, they have one central theme among them. Though they’ve spent time with the Bengals, they have yet to take a snap in the NFL, making them blank slates and, in some cases, unknown commodities.I began things with Andrew Billings. To continuethis series, I’m delving into another defensive lineman: Marcus Hardison.Article continues below ...Hardison was an intriguing prospect coming out of college. He was a formerdefensive end who moved to the interior, allowing him to show off speed not often seen from inside players. The skills gained on the outside helped his pass-rushing ability inside Donald Trump Jerseys Stitched , with Hardison racking up 15 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in his senior season at Arizona State. The Bengals selecting him in the fourth round made a ton of sense. Their defensive line was coming off a terrible year and severely lacked both youth and depth. Hardison could be that youthful, potential-laden option who could grab a key role and help the group rise back to prominence.More from NFL Spin ZoneDenver Broncos: Is John Elway the best quarterback of all-time?1 h agoCleveland Browns Film Room: David Njoku2h agoWashington Redskins: Loudoun County would reap rewards of new stadium3h agoFantasy Football Rankings 2017, Top 101 PPR Players: No. 14-123h agoDallas Cowboys Camp Battle: Linebackers3h agoThatsounds like a perfect fit for Cincinnati this offseason, right? Well, here’s the problem: Hardison was selected in the 2015 draft, not the 2017 version. Those weaknesses on theCincinnati defensive line I mentioned were applicable in both drafts, but things are a bit different this time around. While depth issues were undoubtedly a problem last season, there are now tons of options who’ve been added beyond Hardison. Billings should have a great chance to take up the starting interior role beside Geno Atkins. Deshawn Williams already helda rotational role last year and could continue to do so moving forward. Ryan Glasgow was picked up this past draft to help as well. Even if he’s fully healthy, that’s a bunch of young competition for interior snaps Hardison has to work against.Speaking of hishealth: it has been his biggest problem so far in his career. His rookie season, injuries didn’t put him on injured reserve, but they helped preventhim from ever reaching the field. Last year he did end up on IR, sufferinga shoulder injury before the regular season began.None of those injuries seem to come with long-term problems, but they have led to the unfortunate side-effect of Hardison not having a single regular season snap to his name as he enters his third season. That would be a tough enough mountain to climb on its own Youth Stephen Gostkowski Jerseys , but there are more factors to consider as well.Consider that Hardison, while showcasing useful talents in his final year of college, was still not long into his transfer to the interior of the defensive line. Now, he’s had zero actualsnaps in the league to hone and sharpen hisstrengths and weaknesses on the field. He’s essentially a 25-year old developmental prospect with injury problems. Those guys don’t often last long on rosters.Plus, rememberall those other prospects added since he was drafted? Each has the advantage of age and experience at their position on their side, and none have lost as much development time with the team to injuries.Even with all that against him though, he shouldn’t be entirely written off. As a franchise, Cincinnati tends to stick with their players longer than most teams. Often, they give them a sizeable number of chances to find a contributing role too. Those factors bode well for Hardison having at least an outside shot ata roster spot.More from NFL Spin Zone6/25 – Denver Broncos: Is John Elway the best quarterback of all-time?6/25 – Cleveland Browns Film Room: David Njoku6/25 – Washington Redskins: Loudoun County would reap rewards of new stadium6/25 – Fantasy Football Rankings 2017, Top 101 PPR Players: No. 14-126/25 – Dallas Cowboys Camp Battle: LinebackersAlso in his favor: It isn’t like the depth issues on the defensive line have been truly answered.Peko’s nearly 600 snaps need to be replaced. Pat Sims fell off the metaphorical cliff and was mostly awful in his 400+ snaps and should probably be moved on from too. Brandon Thompson missed 2016 and was never better than average in limited snaps across the four prior seasons.Past them, there’sWilliams (57 snaps in 2016), two rookies (Glasgow, Josh Tupou) Stephen Gostkowski Jerseys Stitched , and three guys who’ve never never taken a regular season snap (Billings, Hardison, David Dean). With around 1,000 non-Atkins snaps to potentially parse out (less if Sims stays on), none of these players have any guarantee of being successful in major roles, and it would be smart of the Bengals to give them all an opportunity in the leadup to the season to make a mark.If I had to predict things right now, Billings and Glasgow will get roles of some level. That would leave somewhere between one and three roster spotsfor the other interior players here (depending on Sims and how other position battles shake out).Williams probably would have a leg up for one of those final spots, but if Hardison can show off the talent which got him drafted — as well as the knowledge of the defensive system he should have accumulated by being with the team for two seasons — he could put himself ahead of Tupou and Dean to fight for a final depth spot.Next: NFL 2017: The 50 most untradeable playersClearly he’s a long shot, but if he can stay healthy, it wouldn’t be shocking for a team well-known for holding onto guys longer than many wouldto do so again with Hardison. This article originally appeared on
